Which is more beneficial

Which is more beneficial, a 300w LED lamp (red/blue) or a 1000 w HPS? As currently I have a 150 w and might upgrade soon

Im assuming this is a honest question. 1000w hps will blow a 120w led away by a long shot. Theres nothing to compare between the two

yeah, your talking like 2 completely different grow rooms. That led for like a footlocker, or the 1ker for a 5x5 room...

I meant 300w led lamp,my apologies. And I believe you might be wrong as an led lamp features spectrums of the lights that causes the cannabis to flower at an early start and produce a high quantity as red/blue (has orange too by the way) is what they want most

?? Because I would like to know for the growers out their what they prefer the most out of their experience of growing and which was better at producing yields

1kw hps will out yield a 300w led too id say. Do a little research there buddy, did you plan on pulling a pound from a 120w led? I havnt read any journals of people pulling a lb under 300w led let alone a 120w and I read alot.

Can you get an aircooled hood and larger exhaust if needed?

I'm running a 240w listed LED light in a tiny cab, less than 6 square feet and only like 3 ft tall. The 400w hps fried that little cab

whats your average yield with the 240w led

if anything you should get a few smaller ones instead of one big one if choosing led.

you get better light dispersion. if you had a 4x4 instead of running 1 300w led you should run 3-4 90-120 watt leds

Sadly I have not got to put it to real good use. I had one run that was completely LED. Sadly many of those posts got lost when RIU had major issues earlier in the year and lost tons of posts it seems. I just went through my thread looking for the numbers I had. I had 4 plants, two romulan and two blueberry. The BB stretched into the light and burned the tops, so I bent the stems and they grew into the light a second time. Sigh.

From my thread one bb plant had 12g dry, I think the second one was a little less but better pheno. I'm not sure what I got on the roms. Lets say 4 plants 10g +/- 2g so anywhere from 32g to 48g. I had used those paper cartons that soy milk comes in as containers in coco and used the Lucas formula. The cab is 28inx17in and 30 in tall.
