i say its a Modified 2 litre Hempy style grow, but i think i would call it a supersize autopot type ghetto style grow thats really cheap
its my first time using the 2litre hempy type style, and coco and og kush,
im using a 600w hps and hesi nutes and trying to keep everthing really simple, the only reason im doing it this way is for an easy life.
im using 2 litre bottles with the tops cut off, i fill the bottles to around 5" with straight perlite and top off the bottle with coco, there are 10 vertical cuts in the bottles from the very bottom, around 2" up to where the hole would go in the hempy.
then i flushed each bottle until the water ran clear because the only coco i could get at short notice was un-buffered, i will be getting the good coco from here on in coz that was a fuck on lol
the bottles all are sitting in a 1m square drip tray at the minute with the water level at 2"
they had 2 days grow and went straight into flower on 14/10
this was on 7/11... just over 3 weeks and look well on target for finishing mid december after 8 weeks flower
the hesi nutes stabilize the ph of the res at 6 and rarely changes
every 3 days i feed them and so far they drink enough so i dont have to recirculate the feed but in time i wish to add an auto feeding system from 10 m of tube and a pump in the res on a timer.
i think that if i put a hole in a bottle 2" high and place it in the res with the lid on it will keep the water level costant and i will one day be able to leave them a week at a time if needed assuming the bottle holds enough but thats just a thought idk
i used correx board to top the res with 25 4" holes evenly cut
16 of the plants are og kush and i have some pineapple express and freeby's
cost very little to set up especially if i had recycled bottles and didn't have to buy them
im really pleased with this so far but any advice is much appreciated as im new to this method and i would welcome any constructive input for this project
