I have to say though, could you enlighten us on what the asterix after 100% natural is in regard to :D

Here's the labeling for this chicken! No artificial ingredients, minimally processed, no added hormones, no anti-biotics, all vegetarian feed.....:)

Been trying to find a youtube version of the scene from Asterix and the big fight where they test Getafix's potion on the roman soldier they captured. first time i saw that i was rather high, well i lie, i was off my titties, and that was one of the funnier things i'd seen in many a year :D

in europe organic is a load of BS the farmers only have to not feed the soil with pesticides and synthetics for 6 months and the ground is miraculously transformed into organic producing.

That is bullshit
Around here I believe it's something like 7 years the land has to be unused for organic eligibility. That's after it has been used as commercial farming land, though

Organic in the EU is littlle more than a money game, for the power that be. HAving worked in the jobs i have, i know of a huge number of farmers who grow organic produce and livetock and sell it as free range or natural regardless of the fact that it is of organic quality, because for that simple word on their product they have to pay out of their arse. Something should be allowed to be called organi if it is of organi quality, not because the farmer can afford to send off a fat check to the relevant agency.

Tuscan Tomato Bisque soup. Tried a new recipe. It was delicious. I was a little dubious when the recipe called for butternut squash. With the basil and the butternut the flavor was amazing and rich. It had a hint of pumpkin in the flavor. Next time I'm going to substitute butternut with pumpkin and see what I end up with.

I also grilled a three cheese sandwich on raisin bread dusted with cinnamon. Hot apple cider with cinnamon stir sticks was the beverage. Dessert was pumpkin cookies.

I just broiled up some Chuck Eye beef steaks.They are my favorite cut.My neighbors are bison hunting.That is gonna be tasty:joint:

Right now for dinner though, bottle of white wine. Work has not treated me well today. Spent the whole evening having to cook a menu i've never cooked before for table after table with just one untrained trainee. Whole hand and forearm covered in burn blisters. Hint. Do not absent mindedly drop some steak into a smoking pan of oil :( Might go wild and have some cheese strings. Other than that i think anything more strenuous would make me collapse. Not cut out for this bullshit.
haha tiptop i know how you feel. just the other night we had king salmon on special and the place was packed. I had about 8 other pans going, ovens were packed yadda yadda the weeds were growing all around me. i had a salmon order in the oven..475 oven, pulled it out to finish it in the salamander but what do you know, i missed the opening and the pan flipped back and dumped the salmon into someone elses dish and all the smoking hot oil dumped all over my arm. this was toward the begining of service so evertime i grabbed something out of the oven or did the finger temp test it would hurt so bad especially when hot oil splatters right back onto a fresh burn.......cheers to another chef!
