Honestly, I'll never NOT top, scrog, or LST a plant ever again. No matter the strain. Especially in Hydro. Well, unless i wanted to try and grow the biggest bud I possibly could and sacrifice Yield.

Thats what my experiences habe been too more budsites equal more bud from now on I dont.care if i have to veg all yr

If u have a single cola dominate bud I would look into "main lining" scrog is more suited to plants with lots of lateral branching.

not really their are plenty of sea of green growers that yield just as good if not better then scrog growers the only reason to do scrog really is for medical grows cause you need to keep plant counts low. I would also check into lst I'm gonna try working on that cause I saw a thread from simonD doing lst and he only vegges 4 weeks from seed check it out he's getting some damn good yields. https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/516068-free-seed-pre-harvest-pics.html

I agree with both of the last two posts... If plant numbers are not an issue, then sea of green is the shit for yield.
Also, to me, if you strain is super single cola dom, try mainlining.
This coming from a scrog lover...

Good looking plants Simond is doing there. Not being know it all by no means, but that one plant looks like its in 5 gallon pot. With that much root space and good training and strain selection, yes you can yield lots. Im 1 year into topping, lst . I was a little intimated by these methods at first. Always thought Id stress my fem seed to herm. But now I will not turn back. EVER!! Considering scrog because it looks like the best method for yield maximation, but I have back trouble and dont feel like fucking around under that screen!! I only grow under 250hps in a closet to maintain stealth as the kids and grandkids are around quite often and dont want them to discover Paw Paw's little private pharmacy. I am getting 3-4 oz's per plant in 3 gallon pots. Not the 1gpw that seems to be the goal, but KEEPS me stocked with plenty high grade buds. I still may take the scrog plunge.
