I've always wanted to take that pot vacation, but now that I can do it in the USA, even better. Is it way too early to even try this in January 2013? It sounds like things won't be in effect even then.

I would argue that Colorado, Washington, and California are your best bets. However it maybe hard for you to get anything as you generally need to be a patient in California. Colorado and Washington are still getting their system setup so we will see how that turns out.

It truly is an exciting time for marijuana as things are changing.

Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out how it works. Say I end up in Washington or Colorado in January, where would I go to get some? I guess no one knows yet because the law is too new.

Pretty much. Your best bet is to find it the old fashioned way.

I would love coffee and weed. I do wish to visit Amsterdam before I die and enjoy their famous coffee shops.

I have not been but I am more of a quiet coffeeshop type of guy than a club guy. But either way I just want to live it up for a few weeks and have fun out there.

Wa is going to be at least a year out for storefront sales. The liquor control board has until Dec. 2013 to get the rules in place for production, processing, and retail sales.
My hope is they have production and processing permits ready this spring so I can take advantage of mother nature outdoors.

Already here you cant get in trouble for possession of 1 oz or less, in Denver its everywhere all you have to do is ask, it is so easy to come by pretty much everyone has it....if you come message me I can assist you plus you get what you pay for, not like buying from seed banks and asking for a blatant sativa and when your plants grow you have a indica. Cant say about Cali or Wash, biased opinion its worth it though!

You all are forgetting, about smoking bans, if you cant smoke a cigarette in a bar, you cant smoke weed.
where i live, all public smoking is banned. No smoking in bars, no smoking in public.
There will be no Amsterdam like coffee shops.
