Just curious about how this one polls...
Ok... What are the signs of looking ready to you? What is it that you see when you say "those look ready"?None of the above I harvest when it looks ready, never failed me yet, i found my mic a waste of my time.
Can't put it in words. They look right, they look like it is time to chop them. A few harvests and you get an eye for it.Ok... What are the signs of looking ready to you? What is it that you see when you say "these look ready"?
We need a mind blown emoticon just for responding to your posts tip top. Can't put it in words. They look right, they look like it is time to chop them. A few harvests and you get an eye for it.
Totally. That's why the poll asked what YOU do.you have to remember every growers have different timeframe of harvest to their desire and type of high.
I've got some that have pistils that will recede... but some of them do not.... especially NL... I've taken them at 10 wks, plenty ripe in my opinion, and the pistils are still there. I've always thought of those sharp red pistils as a trait of dried NL buds (assuming you get them fairly fresh/not roughed up).Harvest when all the pistils recede and you see chunky monkey. Scope you ask? Not anymore. Its better to just harvest when the plant looks done. Then check the trichs and adjust the next harvest accordingly. Checking trichs all the time damages them plus its a huge pita getting a good focus while the buds are on the plant. Plant ripens like so- red hairs, then they recede (disappear), then the calyx's swell, and now your ready to harvest. For me this usually equals to about 10% amber.
I'm not sure why or how checking trichs damages them. What are you doing to your trichs?Harvest when all the pistils recede and you see chunky monkey. Scope you ask? Not anymore.
