Nice set up.. When did you start counting your flower times? A lot of breeders say to start when you flip the lights. But i found it's more accurate if i start my time when they pop first hairs.
My plants in veg have hairs all over them.

Hey bro! they look healthy but DAMN thats some internode spacing!!! get the light a lot closer, your plant is stretching far more then she should.
You see it too.

My plants in veg have hairs all over them.
Yup I clone from vegging plants and don't keep mothers, most of my vegging clones have hairs at least a week or two before being placed in the flower room.

so when do people start the flower count from then? im wondering if this strain is just a slow one that takes longer than others to produce big buds or could it just be my light in my room? ive been careful to make sure im sticking to the recomended amount of nutes & i keep the room at 26 degrees & is well ventilated the only thing i dont have is a fan in there circulating the air[its on its way!] would this make much of a difference? I have kept my nutes as to what i set them at last week & will try keep them the same again next week to try put them back to where they probly should be in contrast to the size & maturity of the plants, what are peoples views on my theory of this?

Start the count from day 1 of 12/12 and dont go after breeders recommendation ever. get a jewlers loupe and check trichomes. try to get close to 100% cloudy as possible and stay away from Myth amber trichomes. ive had 2 plants of the same strain have 4 weeks difference in finished flowering time. phenotypes are like people. there are millions of types and the only way to get to know them is to grow them lol

er0senin - you are correct and that is good advise especially ignoring a breeders proposed flowering times I have grown many an "eight week strain" and I have yet to have a single plant finish even within a week of that

shawryboy - The greatest single piece of advise I can offer in reguards to flowering time is that it is different for everyone. Forget what the breeder says and forget what everyone else tells you they do. The plant is ready only when its ready for you. We all like somthing different, some like an uppy heady high and may take it at only 8 or 9 weeks, while others prefer heavy couchlock and a sleepy feeling and may like it best at 11 or even 12 weeks. Whenever i start a new strain i always take small weekly samples from the plant from the 8th or so week of 12/12 until it's what i'm looking for personally (and I like a heavy body type buzz thats why ive never had anything finish in less than 10 weeks) and no one can tell you what you prefer but yourself. If it helps ill put it like this no one can tell you that you like vodka more than whisky anymore than you want someone to decide how rare or well done you like your steak to be cooked. It's simply a personal prefrence thing that only you can decide and yes when growing from seed different pheno types can vary by weeks of flowering time to reach the same ripeness. Thats why most of us keep the phenos we like with the traits we prefer and clone them then you can dial them in over time and then when you start a new grow you will know what it needs as far as nutrients water and lighting needs at various points in the grow and you can "perfect it" so to speak. And then after the first run with a particular strain I know it, and then when I change the photoperiod to 12/12 I know the exact day and usually the exact hour i will harvest that plant. Not to mention you'll have a greater understanding of the needs of that particular plant and what it lacks or can take as far as what nutrients and amounts to give it, maximum light intensity it can handle before bleaching occures, amount of water it will consume at various stages, temperature it thrives best in, ect. And thats how you "dial it in" to get the best yield from the plant as well as learn when it is at peak ripeness for your own likeing. I hope this helped a little. Good luck and happy growing

WOW... thanks for all the advice guys im certainly learning a hell of alot on here its great having so many experienced growers that i can learn from.
A couple more questions tho.... I have been been using dutch pro nutes & just been going off the chart the guy in my local hydroponics store gave me to use as a guide for how much to use as to what point of grow i am at, this chart only takes me up to week 9 of flower!.. My question being do i just stay at the last amount of nutes it says on the chart if i whent to lets say week 12 of flower? also do people take it to its maximum time of flower & then flush the plants or do you start flushing a week or two before you think it is going to be ready?
I know this will be split oppinion aswell but have many other people used dutch pro & found any other nutes better for coco pebbles & hydro?

MANY THANKS TO ALL YOU PRO GARDENERS OUT THERE, I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE GOOD ADVICE:leaf:
