So my Auto Purple Kush is about to reach harvest date with one of them seemingly ready for harvest much earlier than the rest. On this one about a bit over 50 percent of the pistils have changed colour with a majority of trichs being milky at the head when examined under a microscope. I had set harvest for all plants for Dec.8th but I thought I'd give this one the early go since its matured much faster. So I wanted to start the flush today and perhaps harvest by next week sometime.
Now my question is about water for flushing. I've read various opinions on which water to use for flushing. Now I know that reverse osmosis or distilled water is the obvious way to go but attaining this in bottled form can be quite difficult for me at the moment- and setting up an in home filtration system is just as more difficult due to cost reasons. I wanted to opt out for tap water and I've read that this is possible for flushing but I wanted to get confirmation from other members on this board.
I called up my water company to get our PPM reading for the tap water. They told me the tap water hardness is about 119-128 mg/liter (this seems actually very good so I hope they aren't lying to me lol). My tap water PH reading usually fluctuates from between 6.8-7.1. Can I just directly flush with the tap water and not have to go through the hassle and drive out a few hours to get some bottled Culligan RO water and also spend extra $$$ of course lol? Judging from the opinions I've read around the net it would seem plausible to do this with the tap water I have according to its readings. Any input would be great at the moment from the more experienced minds on this board. I am using pro-mix as my growing medium along with a little bit of extra added dolomite lime (a tbs per gallon of pro-mix).
