Sweet, looking very clean.

I'm a little jealous over your headroom. :-? You gonna cool them at any point? Or maybe you don't need to.

edit:

To relieve some stress in transpiration stress when transplanting, mist with some water. Your lights look at the correct height (maybe a little lower with air cooling).

To determine correct height, consider heat AND light. The back of your hand test will determine how close you can get through heat but this may still be too close as light can also cause stress. .. In my experience, Bud starts to show light stress if within 6" - 8" of the hood.

well its kinda cold now so i thought hey why need an ac..but i think i need to cool them. i was thinking this. use duct table and table ac unit from ceiling into ducting and have fan suck air into the exhaust vent by the door. then get a portable ac unit to control temp.

yo moebius arent they suppose to be bigger by day 50 veg? ive supercropped and topped and lst all of them. wondering after i get my ezclone and pull 60-100 clones off for more mothers if they will explode like you said.

Air Con? .... I was really talking about exhausting the hot air by linking the hoods and expelling the air outside. ..i.e using a CF and fan.

regarding getting Moms growing at their optimum.
All you can do is rely on the plants genetics whilst giving the correct feed and environment. Not much more you can do after.

I say this ,but, if you can find a way to direct some light at the sides of the plants you will find lateral growth increase producing more branches, quicker.

I noticed when I drip water on some of the leaves it leaves mildew or ssomething like it on the leaves. Like a white stain that won't come off unless I scrub it off with more water. So idk of misting helps. I'll exhaust the air somehow I just got to figure out where to exhaust it to since its a sealed room

Thats not mildew. Its salts/minerals.

Sometimes you see that same white salt stain around the armpit area of people when they sweat. or even around the waterline of a bucket of water. Its not something to be concerned about. ... please others chime in if you agree.

In a sealed room, where you getting CO2 from? You have to give your plants CO2 either through opening a window or buying it in a pressurised bottle w/regulator.

Maybe this is why you see slow vegetative growth. CO2 is the most important thing in indoor growing. 95% of a plants mass is carbon, obtained directly from the air. If you give more air you'll see better growth.

Proposal for training in a 2L hempy bottle.

The Black circle is the bottle. The inner Red circle is a cylindrical scaffold made from chicken wire. .. I propose it sits inside the hempy and protrudes about 12" from the top of the bottle.

Top view

Side view

The clone sits in the centre and on day 1 or 2 is pulled through the chicken wire, so the growing tip is now on the outside of the scaffold. Every so often the plant is tied to the scaffold and grows in a Helix type shape.

This makes me think of CCOB, crop circle of bud. There is a good post on here all about doing that along with a light mover. I'm trying it on a few girls right now to see how it works. It ends up being like a Mini scrog.

The guy that did the site put together a free ecookbook you can download called weed science. I'm new so it could all be BS but it looks like he knows his stuff and I would guess mixing hempy in could only make it work better.

I just started to flower the girls and can take some pics and post if anyone would like to see what I have going.

Cheers Johnny for the heads up. Ive don't remember hearing of CCOB.

Just read-up on it here. https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/360125-weed-science-ebook-download.html. Very interesting stuff.

It looks like a good way to manage a plant through veg and the stretch that comes with 12/12.

oh and, HELL YEAH! We want to see what your doing! Please post pics, it all contributes to the reservoir of knowledge.

CCOB looks similar to what Ive described but different enough to deserve its own name, I think a 'Moebius Hempy' has a certain ring to it. lol. .. Actually, A 'Moebius strip' is a 3D object that has only one side, A 'Moebius Hempy' could be a hempy where the bud is grown on the outside of the 3D cylindrical scaffold I have proposed.

Just a thought, hope its not too egotistical. Hahaha

Here's my latest bondage, It's not a Moebius scaffold, it's more of a pancake hoop. I've got a 14" wooden hoop down low in the bush with the main stalks tied to it. The upper (pancake hoop) is not quite 30" in dia. it has a 10" hoop in the middle supported by spokes. I've got all the main stalks to the outside of the upper hoop and have pulled in all the side branches into the center. Right now the plant is supporting the hoops, I've got one bamboo stake in the bucket holding the lower hoop just to keep it all standing straight and level (it wanted to lean to the north) I may have to add another upper ring depending upon how far the mains will travel back to vertical.sex 003riu.jpgsex 004riu.jpg

I need some input on the earliest signs of sex. You may have noticed the 6 small plants under the biggie in the above post. I'm trying to sex them early and put the girls back into veg. They've already started the 12/12 stretch & I want to get them into veg soon. Right now I've noticed one difference between them. On half the horns at the node are sticking straight out from stalk (photo 1), the other half the horns are tight to the stalk and pointing to the other side of the node (they are crossed on the side of the stalk) (photo 2)

Can anyone tell me if this is important, or what I should be looking for. Neither set of plants has shown the pair of hairs, which is a true sign of a girl.

This was one of the less stretchy of my 2L hempys. Its an Exodus Cheese 12/12 from 1week seedling. I took a few clones so was planning to do a large run of this pheno, I'm may just go with the shorter, more manageable Grand daddy purple pheno I have as it has tighter internodes.
Personally I think that GDP you have is the best plant I've seen you post. Not to mention it will suit your grow room better. Where did you get it?

The GDP will be exciting. One of the things Ive discovered for myself personally is that a small grow room gains little from having multiple strains or multiple phenos or multiple seeded plants.

I don't live in the wonderful land where Ken sells his clones, so I got 10 seeds via attitude, 9 popped, half were female/male, binned the rest. Kept one and cloned, now waiting for clones to grow out so I can do a proper run.

Never seen or tasted GDP, so can't speak on that but its looking good so far.

Kens gdp is delicious.
I have to say I think the plant itself is amazing. It felt like pulling teeth to throw the males away. The structure is wonderfully indica and sturdy and stout like a pit-bull on steroids. It started flowering in just a few days of 12/12 and has super close internodes.

You ALL should try and get some of kens seeds. I don't know about the 'connoisseur genetics GDP' but Kens have to be a must. The seeds themselves even looked pretty, about twice the size as normal, fat and beautiful striping to them LOL.

edit:
For my next run I need to make some changes.

  1. Go from passive to active air intake.
  2. Mono-crop Kens GDP. 1 clone x 80+
  3. Start using a scheduled, logged feed regime with PPM feed. (using my Bluelab pen)

938_0236.jpg938_0237.jpgThese ladies are my first attempt at Hempy. The black buckets are 3 Gal and the white with black tape are 2 Gal. I want to scrog these when the grow up a bit and see how that treats me
938_0238.jpg938_0239.jpg938_0240.jpgThese ladies are my current SCROG project (in soil) I have some JillyBean in one and a mix of Elephant and DJ Shortts Blue Berry in the other screen938_0241.jpg938_0242.jpg938_0243.jpg938_0244.jpgThese girls are the Crop Circle of Bud I was talking about earlier. Its tough to see but I topped them to create 2 main stems and as they grew I wrapped them around the circle of the tomato cage938_0245.jpgHere is another random shot of my Jilly Scrog938_0246.jpgand another shot of the CCOB's 938_0247.jpgThe roots of my babies in the cloner 1.5 weeks old938_0248.jpgcloner shot938_0250.jpgI made 2 DWC buckets cause I want to try that as well938_0251.jpgAnd this is my super Hempy bucket. I took the idea of the drain from the DWC bucket and put in on a bucket for easy water level reading and ease of collecting runoff without needing a catch drain. I'll just twist the draing and let it run in a cup. I also thought If I had to be gone for a couple days I could put a few extra inches of water in to keep the ladies going this way.

I'm a new grower and love to play around and find the best way for me to do things. I'm not a soil fan so I'm looking for Hempy or DWC to by my prefered method.

Anyone ever do a DWC vs. Hempy to compair growth/yeild?

Sorry for the extreme ADD post guys

^Sweet work youve done there Johnny. The idea of using a water level reader is inspirational. Its very clever.

  1. Wheres the purple light from? T5 coral?
  2. Have you experienced any clogging of the nozzles in your aero cloner?

edit:
Im kinda WOW'ed by the concept. Not only would it do away with the drainage, it would allow for control of the res size, great for experimenting with different substrates etc etc.
