I disagree with this. A share of the company means a stake in it. The paycheck is just money, no longer coupled to the payer in any way. That's part of the magic of money ... it doesn't matter how you got it; it's how much you have that matters to your potential payee.
A real share in the company has a value dependent on the company's fortunes, and the better issues pay dividends as well.
You don't have to be a capitalist job creator person-of-Quality to know this, or to want it. cn

your car is still mostly owned by miners, foundry workers, machinists, engineers, factory workers, truck drivers,, ship captains, car salesmen, auto mechanics, the detailer at the car wash and the bum who washed your windows at the stoplight 6 months ago.

if you buy a couple tons of timber from a lumberyard, and build a house, the lumberjack, brickmaker, and the tinker who made the nails can all show up to claim their room in your new crib.

if you discover gold on the old family farm thats been in your family for generations, and you knock down the barn to build a mine, dig it out by hand, haul the ore yourself, drag it by sheer muscle power to the homemade smelter you built where the cchiken coop used to stand, and fine that gold out, it's still not your gold.
