Wattage for plants?

I'm growing 2-3 plants in my basement in 5 gallon pales with DWC. I have the Lumatek 600 Watt Ballast http://www.progressive-growth.com/proddetail.php?prod=lumatek600-swtch, if I'm growing 1-3 plants should I just set it at 360 or 400 watts instead of 600? Or should I set it at 600, what would be the difference in growth rate? I don't mind the power difference as I'm only running one light anyways. Is it worth running on 600 or 600 Super Mode, will I gain anytime/bud size from doing this?

So i hear running ur bulbs at the lower watt will shorten their life hrs imo u should add just 1 more plant so 4 under full 600w if you want check out my page for my last grow i did 4 under 600w cooltube pushed out close to a lb. Good luck to ya happy growing

Thanks i'll just run it at 600, I grew 3 plants with 400 watts and pulled 3/4 pound, one was a autobud plant that produced 2 1/2oz! I'll def check it out.
