Wow 30 mins is fast. What size are your bags and which screens did you use?
I've done bubble once several yrs ago, and it me 1/2 a day. But I have been thinking about getting a set. Can anyone tell me if there is a big difference between the $38 sets on Amazon and the original bubble bags at $150.

@ jela I notice you and just about everyone else that does the dry ice shake, uses the 200 micron bag. Seems like you'd get alot of plant matter.
I've noticed with dry screening I get the best quality using a 120 micron.

I have the original set. They are really well made with no loose or visible seams. I've heard of people using womens tights but I for one am glad I bought the proper set, they get treated a little harsh and these will last ages. ... It still works out cheaper than the 'product' anyhow. :joint:

I would only use them a couple times a yr, but I know what you mean about quality.

Mr. Nice black widow

All in 2.5 gallon hempy buckets using coco. Pure blend pro grow, liquid karma, and calmag for nutes.
Great lookin' plants 808, I hope you have the room for where they're heading lol..... I have one bit of advice though. The white buckets will let light in and alga will grow, I've had it happen to me using perlite.

Next run just get some black spray paint and shot the outside.

Not the greatest photo but thats a freebie Chemdawg pushing up against the glass. Ive been neglecting a few plants because my focus was on the plants I could clone for future runs. 100 of these would be impossible in my grow room

In comparison, I think I can work with this GDP pheno in Hempy. Its only slightly larger than the Violator Kush I started with and much smaller than the Chemdawg. atm. I have 2 clones and plant to increase this to 8-10 moms.

no supercropping? i know you could have gotten a more bushier bush if you had tied some down or bent them.

okay im bout to buy the cloner in a few days. was wondering how much i should cut for cuttings. like should i just cut off the tops of each growing tip or what? they said your clones should be 3" and im using the ezclone 120 site too. so how long should i have each cutting?

Big as possible. 3-6 inches. Take them anywhere branches are long enough. Just make sure to leave a growth node for every cut.

Looking great Moebius! I'm salivating over that GDP. Been eye balling it for a while, but I have too many to pop first. I'll pick it up around the April promo to stock up on freebies. Is that the HSO chemdawg? I'm wondering where this UK breeder is doing the Cali clone only cut strains. Would be insightful to know the strains they are crossing to make these seeds. All in all man, loving your setup. We'll be harvesting around the same time.

Yeah probably right smooth. Ive kinda been neglecting that CD and its lost many leaves. Its in a semi-lit corner and has'nt had all the feed it needed. My enthusiasm wained when I realized I wouldnt be going any further with that strain I also struggled with having to measure our 4 different sets of feed. I only posted it here to show the comparison between that and the GDP.

Haha Dank. .. Its not just me who pondered that then. Yes its HSO. Yes it UK. Weird. ... So many worldwide strains being developed and marketed in Blighty. (cheese etc.) Most of the good seed companies are based there although germinating them remains highly sneered upon.

Thanks for your kind words about my setup. I can't tell you how many challenges Ive overcome to get it up and running but its been well worth it. I would say my grow-room is 85% complete, I still need to add osc.fans to the walls and add some CFL light to a couple of dark spots.

Hey everybody. Love the thread. I've read a lot and learned a lot of very helpful info. Thanks. I'm getting ready to start my first grow and have decided to go hempy. Just waiting for my beans to get here. If its ok I might pick your brains a bit as I'm getting started. Thanks again for all your info.

What do you think about a fabric pot Hempy? If i set the pot in a container of nutrient rich water it would act the same as a Hempy with the benefits of a smart pot. I would have used a cat litter box but moebius corrected that mistake for me. I,ll need to make a custom lid that the pot fits in but that allows me to add water to the container without movin the plant around.
I setup a garden for a past patient in which we used a ebb n flow setup with smart pots. Every 4 days u turn on the hose and mix ur mutes into the Res and kick the pump on. I Moved out of state shortly after but I believe I still have pics from the build. We used a tough shed and 8kw with c02. Was a beautiful room I wish it were mine

i thought i had came up with my system all on my own but it appears that i basically subconsciously copied your idea off page 2 of WOH, i have been following this thread since it started and when i checked back, i posted right after the above post from you so i must have kept your wise words in the back of my brain  so i guess i owe you a thankyou mate.

I should present this on another thread but thought I would pass it before my "Hempy Brothers" first. I have a Lumatek 400W digital ballast on a Digilux HPS bulb. There is a setting for "super lumens" where you can get ≈20% more output over the 400W setting...sames goes for the 250W setting..there's one for that too. In previous grows I cranked in the super lumens during the last half of the flower cycle ≈4weeks. Since my newest girls have just been put into the flower tent, I've had it set to the plain vanilla 400W to ease the transition from T5's in veg. I see an opportunity here to either help trigger flower start, increase bud size or even bud density. If you had the choice of kicking in an additional 20% light to your girls, what stage of the growth cycle would you turn it up? Remember too I can crank it down to 250W to simulate end of life (like some put plants in darkness before harvest). Your experience/opinions are much appreciated.

Funny you should mention this. I too, have the same lumatek ballast and I'm using a solar max super hps bulb. I've kept it on super lumens 400w the entire flower cycle. I'm interested in knowing the correct settings myself.

I have a 600w lumatek ... I considered dropping down to 400w at the end of the cycle because after growing many hempys all at once, I realised the hempys furthest from my light definitely had the highest resin content.

Ive noticed the bud directly under the bulb have the lowest resin content (actually showing some stress). This undoubedly is mainly because of my low height, but for sure, there is a relation to high-light and resin.

Also, Bare in mind that a plant does not need as much feed at the end of a cycle, so it folllows (IMO) that it wouldnt need as much light. (AGAIN IMO) Dropping lumens is like simulating the onset of Autumn (fall) in the natural environment.

I've also noticed the fringe vs. dead center effect. I've found raising the hood will correct. With height limits, lower wattage may be the answer, but would it decrease the trichs on the fringe foilage?

Hey Steve,

Glad you found :leaf:W.O.H:leaf: Please let us all know how you get on with your Hempy.

We've got lots of great 'Hempyneers' here but we're always looking for more people to join in with the thread.
