i am looking at Mr. nice critical mass and maybe rare dankness something... any input on what you know to be the most stable and forgiving strains would be great.

Rare Dankness seeds are not feminized, so there are no worries about hermies as long as you give the plants the proper hours of lighting and pure darkness when the lights are supposed to be off.

my grow is so far from complete darkness it's laughable, and never a hermie and grown plenty of fem'ed seeds, but that's a story for another day i guess..
anyhoo's i have never had an issue with any fem'ed seeds, but i wouldn't buy them from say greenhouse or barney's farm, but i also wouldn't buy their regular seeds either.. :D

I am just providing the guidelines necessary to have absolutely no hermies with regular seeds. Not saying you can potentially get away without any hermies by doing anything less. Also, I would never go with feminized seeds, and that is one reason why Rare Dankness is who I choose for all my strains since they only have regular seeds and overall outstanding strains.

RARE DANKNESS does NOT do any FEM seeds! I would like to know what dispensary this was?
If you need a easy starin try Long's Peak Blue.. It will stretch... but a more forgiving strain.. If you are set on a OG.. try the Scott's OG.. not as forgiving but easy to work with. The MOST important things are your TEMPS and LIGHT.. CHeck and double check, and triple check for light leaks..

I don't grow a lot of fem seeds anymore but when I did, Dinafem always had good, stable gear.

Just so you know, regular seeds hermie as well. Genetics are genetics and if it is hermie prone it doesnt matter if it is regular or feminized, you have hermie genetics.

I wonder if they could have possibly be refering to clones and not seeds.

say i have a 10x10 and i walled it off mainly for a wall for the ballast and the room is 8x8 now, but the "wall" doesnt have a door on it, and has a few opening's. is this considered a light leak to the plant

fems wont herm if u get them from a respectable breeder who produced fem seeds properly...like by using colloidal silver or similar method.

anyone who stresses a plant till it hermies then makes fems is passing on the hermie trait since they were able to get the plant to herm by stressing it (meaning the hermie trait was already present to begin with).

a respectable breeder would stress the plant FIRST and make sure it DOESNT herm THEN use colloidal silver to force it to produce male flowers for feminized breeding.

ive never had fems from respectable breeders hermie. not a single one. my only hermies were from GHS and some sativa bagseed i had. ive grown lots of gear from paradise and dinafem and their feminized beans are top notch. i highly recommend getting just bout anything from either one. especially dinafem. ive grown at least 5 or 6 strains from them = all fire.

i just cut down a lemon skunk from ghs. no probems with hermie. all three of my plants are from their fem seeds. cant wait to see how the next gen turns out. clones often do not resemble their seed plant parents. i dont know why. i just had a single fem seed from sannie pop. its a madshack.

anyone?...........
What you do is you stand in your grow room when the grow lights are off with the light on outside the door and see if light leaks in. If so you want to put a black tarp up on either side of the door if possible, or some other method to prevent light from going through. Or if possible keep the light on the other side of the door off at all times.

I agree, Dinafem is pretty stable. I'd say strains are more stable that have been around a long time. Even Green House Seeds White Widow is very stable and they're not known for stability. Plus, non feminized seeds can also hermie, not as easily, or as often but still do.
