I want to grow in an apartment and i want to be prepared for the inspection. I plan to put my mother plants in these 2 cabinets i have.

if i took all my smelly plants flowering plants and put them in a bin like this http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r6H4s9ja1-Q/TWFPbQHIfrI/AAAAAAAAACM/mtD5f-j4J5E/s320/bin.jpg

Would they be smellproof? I need to be able to have them come in and walk around. Plants would be in flowering weeks 1-8 as i would be doing a micro sog

The flowering plants would be 40 2L hempys. I was thinking 4 boxes and putting 10 in each box

Hell no it wouldn't be smell proof. Mabey if you could rig a a gasket to the lids to be air tight. When I had inspections I threw them in a portable pop-up closet and stuck ona gel in there. Landlord never knew a thing.

This isnt a pipe dream.... U dont understand. I want to be prepared hows that a pipe dream? I just cant find out how to take the proper precautions.
Like i was told in a thread before this that if i tripple bag it it wouldnt be as smelly. And now u guys t saying if i triple bag it and put it in the bin it wouldnt be smell proof....

im not guna be able to carry them out because people would deffently c me carrying them. So im trying a find a way to keep them in my place and be smell proof and have the inspection person be able to inspect the apartment and not my belongings.

this IS my hobby

I plan on getting a carbon filter and ona gel blocks they sell at a headshop here
Good. Try not to bag unless you absolutely have to(no lights = photo mishap and no air exchange kills cannabis quickly ). It's easy to wreck a good grow. Get some cheap lockable cabinets and stick them in there when you they come. Nothing in sight is peace of mind.

If i do put them in a cabinet wont i need to have it smell proof too and wouldnt it have to be air tight?

What if i use thoes rubber maid totes with 10 2L wrapped in a garbage bag and 2 blocks in each tote
No one will would see them or smell. I'd just hate to open so many hours later and find some seriously stressed or dying plants. Be carefull not to suffocate them.

Do you know the exact time the inspection will take place? If they give you a heads up before the inspection, which I believe they are required by law to do so, then just get a pop up portable closet like PattyWagon suggested and put it in your closet with some ona gel, they can't actually go looking through your personal belongings so they can't open it, you can get a portable closet at Wall Mart for $35: (-->CLICK HERE<--) I imagine the inspection won't take longer than 15-30min so your plants should be just fine sitting in the closet, in the closet, boy that was redundant, lol. You know I just thought of a better idea actually, you could get this Rubbermaid garment closet: (-->CLICK HERE<--) Not only is it cheaper than the brown/khaki one but it has a clear top so you can see the cloths hanging inside, that might seem bad but its actually a good thing in this instance, I'll explain, go to a thrift store and buy a bunch of shirts/garments for dirt cheap (your not going to be wearing them), then hang them in the Rubbermaid closet and then take a pair of scissors and cut them just under the clear part where you can see inside, then put your plants below the cut garments, when they do the inspection they'll see the garments hanging in the top part (none the wiser to the plants under them) and won't give it a second thought, you can do this for every inspection, personally I think its a fantastic idea, in fact I think its worthy of Rep, what do you guy's think????

Thanks guys. Il look into the portable closet. They said the give 24 hours so im guna take it down right when i see that.
Someone said to me do it last min but if i do that wont the odor linger in the room or the areas that it was while it was being moved?
