(CNN) – Friday's jobs report, which showed unemployment falling to its lowest point since 2008, was still indication that President Barack Obama's economic policies were failing, according to Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus.
"While a downtick in the unemployment rate is welcome news, too many families are still falling behind and unemployment remains painfully high," Priebus said in a statement sent an hour after the jobs report was released. During the presidential race, Republican reaction to negative jobs reports was almost instantaneous.

Bad news because its not do to an increase in employment, but rather reflects ppl have stopped getting benefits due to there claims have ended or they have just stopped looking for work. Thats part of the calculation process. If your off unemployment, the numbers show the unemployment rate is down, which it is not.Just less ppl getting unemployment benefits.

they haven't had holiday's for the past four years?? yes, of course seasonal hirings will lower unemployment from say the month of october to the month of november or dec, but this is saying they are the lowest ue number since 2008.. i'd say that there is more at work then seasonal hirings..

I know dude. I believe there's more work out there. im just saying mountainboy's argument is just old, stale and pretty much an overall
failure to think outside the box.

Unemployment didn't fall at all, Participation in the labor market fell. You have no idea how to read those reports do you? You post some MSM opinion and completely take it for granted, never actually looking at the data.

Let's see.......140,000+/- new jobs............340,000+/- new applications for unemployment====>unemployment rate goes down. Anyone else see a disconnect here?

there will be no bad economic news Until the Democrats can find a way to blame Republicans for it. Fixed!
Did you notice George Bush Campaigning for Republican candidates last election?
No?

Well it is pretty obvious to anyone with a brain. The Republicans blame themselves for the bad economy they created.

You claiming you can read minds or something? This is typical of you. You make statements about others motivations, things you couldn't possibly know, that are merely self serving conjecture, while claiming anyone who doesn't agree with you is retarded, stupid, perverted, racist, or whatever. The housing collapse that caused the banking collapse was the result of Democrat initiatives. That the MSM has chosen to ignore this and blame the economy solely on Bush is mere politics.

Restating your previous statement doesn't make it true. I disagree with you and you apply those labels to me? Yet you have never met me and know nothing about me. By the way, I do the same thing you do for a living, so if I'm stupid and retarded, what does that make you?
