What do you use??

What type of scissors do you use to harvest and trim with? I have large hands so most finger holes on reg scissors are small and my hand gets sore after awhile. I have looked at Home Depot, Lowes ect. and all they have is prunners that are to big to trim up the buds with. So anybody have any suggestions on what to get, what do you use and where did you get them.. Maybe we should start a thread on where to get the best deals on different equipment like lights, bulbs. pumps ect. Its nice that we share info to help people on how to grow but we need to help save each other time and money.

Nah, no scissors with holes! You want spring-loaded scissors, like these:

Thin, skinny blades get right in there in the buds, spring-loaded means your hands don't get tired, and no holes means they fit everyone!

You DO NOT want spring loaded. Get a pair of ARS scissors. I like the curved tip. They stay much sharper and cleaner than the shity spring loaded ones. Your uncramped hands will thank you.

The ARS scissors make my hands sore as fuck and they leave marks all over my finger and thumb.
The curved spring loaded don't hurt my hands at all.

1 vote here for the micro pruners... they can also be sharpened if need be. ars scisors are largly for homosexuals. not that there is anything wrong with homosexuals I just think ars scisors are gay. they don't have a large enuff blade for pruning large harvests.


Edit: micro pruners are the same thing as what is on that link I guess they don't call them micro pruners any more

I like spring loaded scissors myself, saves that crampy feeling. Plus with spring loaded it is easy to tell when you are taking too big of a bite! Any resistance and I back off before taking a bite out of one of my precious buds.

U suck, cuz of this thread subliminaly implanting itself in my brain, i jus HAD to buy a new pair at the grow shop today.....oh well, my friend will enjoy them....

I definitely prefer the spring loaded Fiskars, but I also like to switch it up with some non spring loaded. Switching every so often really helps prevent cramping.

Put a couple various pairs in a cup with rubbing alcohol in the middle of your trim table. When your pair gets gummed up, just drop it in the cup (after scraping off the scissor hash), grab a new pair, give it a quick wipe with a paper towel, and you're good to go.
