Grow Tent Club

I found this it for a light rail, to mount light movers in a tent, but they might work to hang other stuff from. unnamed.jpg

Its the clip that holds the light rail to the frame. Like I can't mount the light rail without the stupid things and according to Amazon reviews they break all the time.

Take these 2 pieces.
Run the top sidetube and run it through it. It will be loose and this is ok.
Stick the reducer on the single hole and roof light support will be snug bro...it not hot glue or epoxy is your friend....those parts are listed in that link I put up earlier.

I think you are referring to this piece....

I use a 600hps in it with a 8"cooltube. This is the best to flower in. Since I can get it darkest. I have another room but it is built into my Garage. This what it looks like now.

:)

This was my last round.. 400w hps

i just did a search for grow tent accessores and add ons. nada.

considering how many people use tents, i'd think some enterprising young engineer would make some stuff. i could use something to hold a couple small fans but i'd rather buy it than make it.

Hey guys. Not sure if I'm welcome lol. I veg in a 4x4 gl120 by home box. And I flower in a box we built a few years ago measuring 8x4x7. I use 2 600whps for flower and on 600hps for veg. But will soon be adding a 250mh to veg and a 400mh to flower. Have the lights just can't afford a Hood atm

Yeah I know. They're probably made at one factory in China and distributed to the tent company in 6 packs. And then like lots of the plastic hardware coming out of those factories these days it lasts for about one use, then breaks. I can't complain, the tent only cost me $65 and I made a new contact who offered to give me some clones.

I'm heading to Home Depot to try to find the parts bassman recommended. I've seen fans that clip right on to the rail, so that will be next up. Would you guys say one oscillating fan for a 4 x 4 x 6.5 tent is enough?

i got two of those clip on fans. they don't hold onto my tent poles. they slide right down them. i hve one fan at the front and ideal would be a small one in the back 2 corners.

Take the poles with you to HD or Lowes and test fit to make sure it all fits

of course your welcome here! so....welcome! :D

Thanks lol. Funny u should mention fans. I just made a bracket to allow me to hang my wall mount fan in the Mylar tent and now I can't find the mounting plate for my wall Fan :/ ill post pics if I find it and finish it hopefully it helps someone else. Just need about 4ft of 2x4 a saw 5screws and a corner plate for your tent. I was lucky enough to have it laying around the shop so I slapped one together (literally. It took about 2minutes

OK as promised here's the blatantly obvious enviously ghetto wall fan mount lol
I used the corner plate provided with my (and most) grow tent. If ur unfamiliar they're simply a triangle shaped piece of metal with two screw holes the the sides are bent to contour the frame of the tent. I'm positive u could buy one online if ur tent didn't come with one.
Corner plate

First thing.. I'm paranoid but anyone should be. After making this unit I disassembled it and let everyything soak in bleach for 20 minutes then neemed every square inch. No bugs no spores

I then took a 2x4 stud and cut it to three feet. Then using a portion of the remaining stud I made 2 45 degree cuts leaving a triangular block that fits in the plate and covers the screw holes but leave enough room for the frame to pop into the plate.

20121210_113343.jpg

After marking where the screws going through the plate will enter my triangle block. Then take the triangle block and screw it to an end of the 3ft stud (I put the screw in dead center to allow me to pivot the 3ft for fine tune the angle once installed) then attach the plate to the block.

20121210_113430.jpg

Using yet another piece of the leftover stud I cut a 2inch block and then notch one end with a "v" this will cradle the frames upright and eliminate excess noise and wobble. take this block and put the uncut end (without the v) flush against the backside of the 3ft on the end opposing the corner plate using 2 screws.

Then attach the mounting plate for the wall fan as about 3 inches from the bottom of the unit we just made. Install the unit then hang the fan on the bracket and enjoy. Not pretty and I'm sure there's great ways of achieving the same goal but this was what I came up with. It cost me nothing and took about two minutes
