Reusing soil on the next grow

My local supplier is out of the soil I usually use for growing and it's cold here now so my options are very limited. Is it ok to reuse the soil for the next grow? I realize that when if grown outside that would be an idiotic question, but I just wanted to double check if the rule applies for indoor grows?

Also, which one of the MiracleGrow potting mixes would you recommend for growing?

I have not completed my first grow yet, but I have a friend that is a soil grower and he disposes his soil after every harvest. His take on it is that there is a greater risk of having issues down the road with "used" soil. Hope this helps.

Reuse it. Flush it first. I reuse soil and there is no problem. In fact, studies show soil must be reused 3 to 4 times to attain maximum beneficial microbe populations.

Well, this is what I have available for me at this point. It's either MiracleGrow or FoxFarm Ocean Forrest. I've never grown in FFOF and heard it was too hot for the seedlings, any truth to that?

Yes. Just don't use any nutrients for 3-4 weeks after starting in it.

If you didn't have bugs in the previous grow the soil is not going to hatch the fuckers. Don't be stupid. Do you see farmers changing out 2,000 acres of soil after every corn crop?

I make my own organic soil and I reuse it after each run. You have to re-amend it with goodies like bone/blood meal, kelp meal, lime, etc, but generally it gets better each time.

FFOF is a good soil to transplant into for flower, its too hot for seedlings. If your gonna go with Miracle Grow try thier all Organic In the white bag, Pretty sure they leave the Ferts out of that and ive had good luck using there seedling mix also.

And as for Reusing soil, As long as you dont have any bugs or bad mold in your dirt, Its obviously proven its good dirt if you want to reuse it in the first place. So i say yea Amend and Reuse, Youll be happy you did. Add worm Castings, Guano, Kelp, Ect, ect and let the dirt do its job.
