Fished at Melones a few time when younger. Good fishing, especially up against the dam. My uncle and his family lived outside of Jackson. Wanna say the little mountain town's name was Wilseyville.?

Hey Lets have a smoke out!

We can't camp at Melones overnight but we can at other places.

Should wait for Spring.

I would dig some drink and smoke and a fire. Some good eats and such.

Any suggestions?

There is a nice place near Turlock Lake with grills and a river to fish. It's flat and I believe it's not federal it's state park.

Then again I know a place way back in the woods that has water falls and a deep swim area. Also camping is okay. Also lots of fire wood.

I think that spot if very famous with party people!

I would suggest we wait till the melt is almost done and it's warm. Now the water can be cool but you get used to it quick!

Sounds good to me.

i'll bring the homemade drink. Pomegranite wine, 190+ proof shine, 75 proof brandy, a cherry shine concoction that proofs around 90, and beer of course ;)

Gotta have a hell of a campfire though :)
