not to step on toes. But technically the end of the myan calander does end in apocolypse but it is seen by the people more as a time for new beginning rather than final destruction. Regardless their calendar had to end someday it just so happened it's during our time. Just think you'll be able to tell your kids you lived through it!

...neat. Could be that they didn't make another stone as a symbolic reference to 'new' - 'open' - 'possible'.
