Reading the local paper, large story about the cartels shifting their growing in the states, large park lands etc. They say it's easier to grow here then trying to cross the border with it. The goverment saids this is starting to get big and more dangerous in our parklands. Has anyone else read or heard about this new concern about the mexican cartels shifting their grow business into the U.S.. Personally, I have concerns, hopefully they stop this, can you imagine in the future, if this gets to big or out of control, another mexico city in the states. This story originated from the USA today paper.

Its been happening since the 70's. kind of dropped off a bit in the mid to late 90's and has been picking up more and more since 2002. They are getting larger (the grows) and the number of them. I live in an area where I am literally surrounded on all sides by mexican cartel grows in national forests. something like 300,000 plants seized LOCALLY last year ALL mexican cartel grows. Only decent thing its doing is keeping CAMP and the fed busy and distracted from the temptation to mess with legit medical and personal crops. Its not worth it though. Its all not good at all.

What I cant quite wrap my head around is that there is more and more dank nugs harvested every year.... why do people still buy their crappy pressed bricks.

Yea, I agree. Just searching this and this problem has been around for some time, years. It's just getting bigger and bigger. It's just the thought that the goverment is aware, but yet it's escalating.

While its news to you of things happening in a far off land.... its my neighborhood and back yard... its my community we are talking about... fuck the government, the people are aware of it. Locals are sick and tired of it and report those grows as they come across them. besides that, there has been lots of talk about "taking our land back" and running them out.
