Early flowering qs

When switched to flowering do plants continue to grow nodes and do the stems thicken significantly?
Thanks

In the three weeks following 12/12 flip, my plants grew 3x. And it was from stretching between the nodes on the main stems, not the addition of new nodes. So the top flowering area that I saw when I switched is also now the top cola. However, there was some new growth on the lateral branches, and there are additional small bud sites there.

Four weeks following the flip, and I don't see any new bud regions, just bigger buds.

And the stems are getting thicker to support what I hope will be large, weighty colas! :hump:

Thanks for the replies guys. I was mainly concerned about the stems getting thicker because my stems are somewhat wimpy, but I still have a week or two of veg left

Depending on the strain, some stems are thicker than others in flowering. Sometimes people do have big colas and thinner stems, in which case they use stakes or tomato cages to add some support. If my plant was outside, she'd have a bunch of stems that would be bending over and lying down because they're kinda weak. But they're in a tent, and the walls of the tent add support, so it's all good.

Just wait to see what you get and then address any issues with needing support. Good luck!
