I write this because online I am getting what I think is just e-peen and not straight answers. In real life I know about 8 growers, it seems that the average between them is about 2 to 3 ounces per plant in a 3 month cycle (1 veg, 2 flower). Now this is an average, some get more and some get less, I am also not talking about the most you have pulled off a plant, I myself average about 3 ounes, but I have had a 6 ounce plant, and I have had a 25 gram plant.

So I would say I average 2.5-3 ounces per plant.

What do you average?

So much depends on lighting, strain selection and veg time.......so asking everyone what they get is almost useless. Needless to say, if you can get 3 oz. per plant indoors- generally you're doing fine.

I've been doing this since the late 1980's and I've never seen anyone get 8 oz of a plant in a 3 month grow period. EVER!

depends on lighting and strain as said above. i usually get 2-3 oz per plant under my 400 watt light. 1-2 month veg.

last run i grew was g13 pineapple express and barneys farm phatt fruity, 3 of each and i ended up with an honest 4lbs 5.25oz of cleanly manicured bud but that was in 5gal bucket hydro system under 2 1000w hps. an average run is usually 3lbs at the least as long as i stay on top of things and dont run into any bug or nute problems. if you cant pull 6oz from a plant then you should rethink your setup imo.

what is your style of grow? How long do you veg, and how long do you flower? FIM? LST? super cropping? If your doing all this in a 3 month time span we need details Sir'. Height of plant and distance from light , RH, and room temp and nutes used would also be helpful...

The worst grow so far from this system yielded just about 8oz per plant after trimming so far.
I do a 6 - 5gal bucket top drip gravity return system with a 40gal res.
-veg on average 28 days at which point most plants are in the 18 to 24" range depending on strain.
- I super crop, for lighting I use to keep my lights as close as possible but this last grow kept them up as high as my ceiling would allow and they are doing as good as always despite the extra light hight.
- For nute my personal choice is GH's FLORANOVA and I do not use the "grow" I only use the "bloom" right from seedling along with some GH additives.

When I started growing I yielded about an ounce per plant. With the same strains and same room and same system I now average 3-3.5oz per plant. it's a learning curve.

I'm starting to think a lot is just fisherman tales, it could also be simple mistakes. Is that 8 ounces per plant wet after manicured? I can do that sometimes to. And I know it is possible to get 8 ounces from a plant, I got 6 myself once. ONCE. I have a hard time believing any set up, on a three month cycle will produce that on average. To say 8 is your average that means you either never once have a plant produce less than 8 dry, or even more unlikly, that a 3 month plant will sometimes produce more to make up for the stranglers, like 10 or 12.

I have 2000w for 12 plants in an 8x4 room, fairly small but its all I have at the moment. I use 5 gallon bubble buckets with 1 70l air pump for 4 buckets (3 total).

However I am building a home made version of CC's UC RDWC system. It will also be a bit cramped, but I am doubling my space and only adding 6 plants, and I will be adding a third 1000w light to boot (one over each system, each system sitting roughly one foot apart)

In all fairness I have to admit I had been growing guerrilla style outdoor & in, but mostly out for over 25yrs before doing this system. As its been pointed out by JoshTMT & superstonr1 I have a few things that make it possible..Strain, lights, and a lot of screw ups & knowledge from all those screw ups. Time and grows are the best learning tools. My room is 7'6"w x 8'L with 9' ceiling, 2 raptor hoods above with 1000's and on my outside walls 1-300w and 1-600w LED panels for a total of 2900W.
Anyway it is vey possible to pull them numbers(1-3g per w) and it'll come to you too just give it some time and do not be afraid to experiment with different techniques and strains, about a year or so from now this will be a laugh for you.

Do you find the LED's really help? I mean, is the cost/benefit there? What LED's did you buy, could you link me to a site with them?

To be honest I really had doubts as to the use of LED for bloom myself, for veg you can't beat the LEDs for giving you super tight inter-node spacing which once you go 12/12 and stretch hits makes for some beautiful plants..when it comes to bloom I've always been told that LED just don't pack the punch to give you those big rock hard buds that we all want so I have never taken the chance and used only them BUT when it comes to using them for supplemental lighting they kick ass!! If you go in my grow room and look at the plants that get hit with the LED panels light along with the HPS there is a very noticeable difference in growth & bud density plus the buds when looking through a microscope are without a doubt closer to being ready to pick. I have 2 different brands of LED panels...and this is where the confusion and debates start-lol-.. personal experience shows that my 300w out performs my 600w no if and or buts about it. There is so much confusion and mis-information about LEDs out there that it makes it real frustrating to pull the trigger and spend the money on one, my 600w while brighter noticeably just can't keep up with what difference the 300 makes. From what I have seen this run LED's also make a major increase in tricomb production, an increase thats enough to visually see with the naked eye. I have read and read up on LED's and seldom do any articles agree as to which ones are legit, what I can tell you is that if I were to buy another one I would go with my 300's manufacturer which is "sunshine-systems.com" -- Pro Grow 300 and while its a bit pricey it does work without question. On ebay I have seen them go for 2 to 300. for a clean used one. HAPPY HOLIDAYS, MW

How long did the pineapple run for ? It's look'n mighty good at 63 now .. but I don't have a microscope to check for cloudy/ clear ratio's.

As it was pointed out it all depends on your system & lighting, though every run I have ever sen was in hydro and took betwen 63 and 77 days.

with a strain like gdp i pull 18 ounces a light a strain like blue dream almost 32 ounces a light. all strain related. considering your using hortilux bulb and a big hood. also a kelp based flower hardener

im doing a 10k hps flower room well actually 30 but spread out among 3 houses. i will pull 18 ponds off each 10k setup
