I'm new to growing. Can anyone tell me how mcuch water I need to give my plant a day. And how many times I need to water it? When its a seed. When it starts to flower. And when I start seeing that buddah.
Help is super appreciated, thanks

There are a lot of variables man hydro, soil, coco, rockwool? Also your room conditions is it dry humid or just right is it hot or cold ? people wont answer questions like this brotha u need to be more specific but a good rule of thumb is let the plant tell u when it wants water the key to building a good root system when in seedling stage is not keeping them to wet make the roots search for water. Make sure your questions are more in depth about your grows. hope i could help

The smaller the container the more you will have to water it. Let the medium dry out quite a bit before watering again, you do not want to drown your plants or it will stunt their growth. I water/feed my plants until approximately 25% runoff comes through the drainage holes. This ensures you get an even watering and prevents salt buildup in the pots. As you get to know your plants watering/feeding will become like clockwork.

The easiest way is to pickup your pots when dry and when watered You'll get to know the difference. I use 3 gal smart pots and water with 1/2 gallon every 3 days.

you should probably start with some toy plants and practice watering those before you risk anything actually alive, i know your plants would super appreciate it.

IMO, the main key is to watch your soil. A nice crust on the top is my direct sign to water. I'm using 5 gallon Smart Pots, and I need to water about every 3-4 days. When your plant(s) are just starting, like right after germination, you want to keep that soil a little more moist, compared to when they get bigger. In my research, they say the number one problem with new growers is, they over-water their plants.

At the seedling stage. I plant the seed with just enough soil to cover then water well. best way is a spray bottle. you want to water slow and well. At this point they shouldn't need water until long after they sprout. If the top soil starts to dry before they sprout give it a spray or two. after they sprout let your cup dry out the roots will chase the moisture. You might want to set up a cup with the same soil as your sprouts. don't seed or water at all. That's your guide to watering. when your sprouts feel as dry as that cup it's time to water again. You can use this threw the whole grow. As the plants get bigger you'll notice you have to water more often. the key is getting moisture to all of the soil in what ever size pot your in. so water slow. You should be as specific as you can when you ask something. you'll figure out what to ask as you go. Remember in the forums you'll get varying answers there are lots of ways to get to the end and everyone dose things a little different. This is the way I do it.

hit the nail on the head right here, when the pot is light then its time to water. the weight test takes all the guesswork out of it.

the plant will start budding about 1-2 weeks after you flip the light schedule to 12/12. right now you should have it on a vegatative schedule of 18 hours of light or more a day. Marijuanna is a photoperiod plant (with the exception od ruderelis but chances are you dont have one of them so dont worry about that) A photoperiod plant changes is life cycle depending on the amount of daylight it recieves, it will grow vegatative growth while the days are long (like midsummer) and it will start flowering once the days get shorter (like late summer, fall) you as the grower need to play mother nature and controll the amount of light the plant recieves.

hope this helps :)

18/6 lights to make the plant grow big

12/12 to make the plant grow bud

As your grow progresses you will have many more questions - most of which can be answered by your book, all others feel free to come around & shoot the breeze here.

Good luck.

you dont sound like a dick, your giving good advice.

i know i sometimes have questions that have been answered a million times to someone else specific problem but not my own so i come to RIU and ask a repeated question that tailors to my specific issue. Alot of people will tell me to "research" or "google" it not knowing wether i have tried that or not.

my point is no matter how many times a question has been answered people are still always welcome to come here and ask it again. If you dont want to answer it dont, but i see no benifit to anyone by giving some dick head reply when you could have just moved on to another post that you feel "deserves" your comment.

most of the time the dick head response people give is as long or longer than a simple answer would be.....
