Ph meters

I am pretty happy with my Blue Lab. My Hanna went down and replacement probe was $80 and 2 week wait thanks to xmas. Said F it and bought new. Best feature is how fast it reads. Hanna, Oakton, and Milwalkee took 30 seconds or so to get a accurate reading. Yes this my 4th ph pen. I'm hydro guy so the drops dont work for me.
I dropped two of those yellow ones in the res and said fuck it and got a bluelab. first one stopped calibrating permantly just short of a year because of salt build up on the diod (my bad) the diod on the replacement somehow shattered within about a week of getting it. on my third and am still very happy with the the bluelabs. they are very good with their warranties

That's not a good test at all because RO water is essentially PH-less since it has so few particles. All those PH meters will struggle unless you add some sort of dissolved solids to that water.
Not true. RO water has some dissolved solids too. It's NOT 0 ppm.
The point of posting that picture was to show they are highly unreliable. I repeated the test with a nute+water mix and the result was just the same.

Why do You think people are paying all that money to brands like Hanna or Milwaukee ?

I have 4 res to maintain, I'm not playing with droppers lol
I know this a little old but i just picked up a bluelabs hand held. My Oakton 30 i think is shot. My new bluelabs read 7.2 in my res. My Oakton was reading 5.9.... Are these Bluelabs pretty reliable? I'm scared after calibraitng and dropping my res to 5.9..
I checked with the Oakton and it reads 5.1.. Got to love ph meters!!
