hello im fairly new to growing. grew a couple times before this but under t5s. just upgraded the grow room. i got a 4x4x6 room that i constructed. i have a 600watt hps lamp and a 180 cmf exhaust fan. i aslo have two oscillating fans. i will be growing in 5 gal grow bags. i have 10 barneys farm lsd seed on the way from tude. im just wondering what you guys think about it? how many plants should i grow in there to max yield? how much yield should i expect? ill also be using promix for the medium and fox farm grow big for veg and tiger bloom for flower. any help??

I run a 600 watt hps in a 3x3 tent. I do best with two plants and scrog. I can only acess my tent for the front and a bit from one side.
I've hit a pound but usually get around 12-14, it is variety dependent.
I use coco.

Grow as many plants as you want variety.

if you look at it from the gram per watt perspective, a half a gram per watt would get you 300 grams, 1 per would get you 600.. being a newer grower, i wouldn't think that you'd hit the 1gpw thing, but a half per is very doable imo..

nah, some people like to use the equation of gram per watt of light used.. this is for the whole grow.. like i said one gram per watt under a 600 would be 600 grams dried bud per the whole grow, not per plant..

there are so many variables my man a 600 watt light really wont give u a big enough footprint to cover a 4x4 space with optimal light i use a 1k for a 4x4 area and sometimes i almost hit 2 pounds on a light strain and condition dependent. The trick is be happy with what u get if u pump yourself up for a big harvest and your a new to growing you will be let down growing is kinda like a 5 year plan you gotta dial all the bullshit in and get a set way of doing shit before you achieve yields like being spoke about above. One 600watt and just ff nutes is just the start man. I wouldnt expect anymore than two ounces a plant and that is with some veg time and some veg training suppercropping, bending or topping hope i did not crush your dreams on hopes of a massive harvest but i am being honest man. You will never be happy with what you u get if you put expectations on yourself and your plants just do your best man get another 600 for that space think about some c02 and imo fox farm blows lol sorry for the shitty news but i used to ask questions like that many moons ago and it never came out the way the forums said they would lol. There really is no way to answer this question correctly much love happy holidays guys and gals

Sorry for intruding on your question/thread but
I have a 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m grow tent. Im using a 600w MH for veg and i got 600w HPS for flowering. Is this enough light for the size of the grow tent.
I also have pictures of my current grow and tent setup in a thread I started in Newbie Central named "New Grow Setup :D:D - Some Freebies :P"
If someone is able to let me know if its an efficient setup and if there is anything I should change etc etc.

thanks in advanced guys

thanks kid86 for the advice. i wasnt expecting a whole lot of harvest anyways just trying to get a rough estimate. just watching my babys from seeding to harvest would be satisfaction for me. i wanted to go bigger with the light but i do not wanna get caught. sometimes i just smoke to much and get paranoid lol. i have a 250 watt hps too. should i add that?

It mostly depends on size of plant, canopy management, and veg time. You should plan on a 3x3 to 4x4 footprint for good results.

Yes, 600 is more than sufficient.

I run a 600 watt hps in a 3' x 3' x 6.5' tent. It gets a bit warm in the Summer, but not bad.

My room is about the same size as yours. I also grow under a 600 watt. I did 9 plants last run and averaged 1.5-2 zips per plant. This run i'm doing 6 plants and expecting about 3 zips per plant.

I'm growing in 5 gallons of soil in a 4x4x6.5 with a 1000 hps and veg for 4 weeks max. When I harvest I get at least 2 oz dry from each plant. Hope this helps you.
