Well, I've calmed down some and will clarify and comment so to be clear........

I went in the room early this evening to re-stake everything, as I often do around this time in flowering. I put 3 stakes in around each pot and wrap some hemp string up and down to support the branches. Since I pinched all these Dogs, there are quite a few branches on each plant. While doing this, I was able to really get a good view of each plant, up and down the stem and each branch. While I first thought there was only 1 plant that was heavily seeded out of the 9 left in the room, I saw a number (at least 4) of other plants also with drying pistols and expanding seed pods- mainly on one side of the small room. The other side shows some seeding, but not unreasonably bad. I did a lot of work in this room and was upset (OK, pissed off!) when I posted earlier as I'm sure you could tell.

Tonight, at 11PM, when I turned the lights out- I went in with my high powered flashlight to get a white-light view- which is much better to view your plants with- and I've had a chance to calm down some. First off, even with this seed issue- the resin production is crazy good on most of the plants..... seeded and not seeded, at day 29 in flowering. Yield will suffer mightily, as the plants put their effort into seed production and not bud production- but I believe the finished quality will be outstanding so I'm going to let them finish up and go from there. I am still hoping to find a mother that is a pure female with no male tendencies (bananas) to breed with- time will tell.

Lastly, some may disagree, but seeds like this shouldn't be on the market. They are not stable, and the male tendencies on the plants are much worse than the strain description lends you to expect. Pods continue to be produced deep into flowering, which was unexpected. No reasonable human could be expected to be more diligent than I was in picking the male pods off- jeeze, there were only 9 plants- well, 12 to begin with but 3 were solid males. A reasonable breeder test grow or grows (sorry, DST) would have shown this and I'm suspecting this was not thoroughly done. I understand that sometimes these traits are recessive in parent selection and often hit or miss. Then again, it's rather obvious, even at this point, that the strain is a stinky, resin monster and worth having in everyone's grow room.

So, I've decided to keep the room going and let them finish. I'll continue to post, the good AND THE BAD, so others are also aware of the challenges they will face with this feminized version. And somehow, I'll manage to smoke all the bud up when it's finished despite my trials and tribulations......... with a smile on my face and a boner in my pants.

How long between Mighty wash and Power Wash, thinking of using seltzer water to wash, its cheaper any thoughts?

Your Plants look great. Mine are IMG_6519.jpg ust into week 2 of flower and had to chop one of my fem seedlings as it grew balls, not sure what else I could have done...

I Mighty Wash at night right as the lights go off. And Power Wash 12 hours later when the lights come back on. Somewhere, but I guess not here at RIU- I mentioned I cut and dried a bud and it is quite strong. Nothing wrong with the potency, for sure. Just the male tendencies. Buy the Dog BX1 if your purchase the strain, not the feminized version. Day 34 in flowering, here are a few pictures. The last pic is a less-seeded bud.

And, use Power Wash, not seltzer for this reason: Mighty Wash has a super low pH, something like 4.2 or thereabouts. Power Wash has the opposite pH, something like 8.4 or thereabouts (so I've been told) to neutralize the pH on the plant and in the soil. I don't know the pH of Seltzer, but I'm guessing it's acidic, which will keep the pH too low and may cause some issues for the plant. That's my suggestion.

Lastly, seltzer is good to add some CO2 to the leave area, but not necessary under these circumstances.....

Pretty strong smoke. Only did 2 puffs. Had to put it in a food dehydrator to finish drying it but it burned fine. A bit of anxiety early on but potent, and long lasting. 18 seeds in those 2 small buds.

So wy not use Dutch master reverse and finish the with no seeds?

Exactly........that's just what I want to do- buy feminized seeds and then have to spray junk on the plants.

I've been smoking the seeded plant I harvested a bit ago and it's VERY potent. Buy the BX1 seeds (non-feminized) version of this and you'll be happy. It's also very smelly, maybe a 9/10 on the stinky scale. My carbon filter, which is brand new, isn't cutting it!

SSHZ found this thread after its done, but great looking grow with the Poison and too bad about the Dog, but I decided not to flower my S1 dogs now, and take clones instead.
I hope they work out, either way they will flower solo
