Police flir on christmas eve

Hey all last night I could hear a helicopter very low and close so I went to investigate and he was a police helicopter with a flir camera flying low and slow directly over my house and turned around to scope out the neighbours.
Do police have nothing better to do on Xmas eve than to look for cannabis grows, makes me sick.

btw I have 3 plants outside in pots so I suppose they would of seen them if they were looking. But no knock I'm the door, we are safe again for now.

damn police helicopters, leave us alone

Lol! course they got shitloads better to do out on Xmas eve, cause most of the dickheads in this country will be out boozing it up!

Do u really think they just send the chopper up on the off-chance they can scan & spot someone growing abit of weed?? unless there was a specific operation going on or they chasing some 14 year old joyrider who was hiding in ur wheelybins, then they aint gonna spank 4 grand an hour fuel/running costs on finding ur 3 plants in the back garden!

Growing season is well over in the Northern hemisphere, you must either be in Australia, South America, or smoking crack...lol

I'm in the northern hemisphere and I still can grow here. can grow year round

Hawaii is just a little further south from there...may be enough to grow year round, dunno. I'm guessing that's where he's at from his avatar.

ya from hawaii. but if you take a look at the globe, mexico is in the northern hemisphere. there are lots of places to grow in the northern hemisphere this time of year

Hate to disagree, but I do... Different departments have budgets... I'm sure the helicopter department of a larger police department has a budget separate from the police department as well. So here's the deal, they gotta burn that budget before fiscal year ends, otherwise they risk getting that budget cut next year. But in the process of burning that budget, they have to show some results - that way they get even more money the next year.

Spending a day at the end of the year and allocating a helicopter for potential grow operations isn't so unbelievable.... I'd say there might be a chance he should be concerned.

with no indoor light on, come on, if they are using flir they are looking for a heatsource. if yours are outside dont worry,be happy...

Yeah it's always a little daunting hearing them fly above. Good thing they didn't circle and another good thing is there was no knock on the door lol

and yes I'm in Australia


plus the plants are tied down so looking at them from 5 Mtrs away they don't even look like marijuana
