at least one of us got it. ;)
That's businesses acting of their own accord. I made no mention of a law. I didn't say "mandate gun shops to...", I said "get gunshops to mandate...". There is nothing wrong with attempting to mitigate risks that we reasonably can, of our own accord.

Hard to say.

I shoot sub MOA @ 100 with my Thompson Center Encore Pro-hunter in .300 Win mag... 30 inch barrel.

She's mated with a Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x50mm scope. I'm not one of the best of the best by any means, but I was certified a 'marksman' in the Army, and I've been shooting since I was 3 years old.

I can shoot 5 rounds in a quarter(most of the time), at 100.... :)
i can shoot 5 rounds overlapping each other at a hundred yards with shitty mil surplus fmj rounds with my .223 at about 200 yards they get about the size of a quarter if im still using shitty ammo. thats not on a bench rest and with a 22 inch heavy barrel. granted its got a 6-24x44mm scope on it but i get sloppy when im passed 12 power anyways unless im more than a hundred yards out. oh and its not that hard to qualify marksman in the army. becuz i did also. pretty sweet they give u a grenadier badge for not blowing urself up with a grenade too huh. lol. j/k

also i feel that most people dont keep their skill level up. in my opinion most people achieve a level of comfort with firearms and then stop practicing as much. which shouldnt be the case becuz i feel thats when the firearm related accidents that most people talk about appear. u could be shooting dimes sized groups at 300 yards with more practice with that gun u speak of even with a 10 power zoom.

Glad you think so.

I still shoot sub MOA groups all day long.
why would u need to worry about MOA for such a short distance such as 100 yards? u shouldnt have to worry about MOA shit unless u were throwing rocks at that distance or shooting a .22 or something. lol.

MOA at one hundred yards is more than one inch. It's the diff between squirrel's head and air.

I have an AR that shoots appx. one MOA. Five holes will often all be clear of another. Ten holes, some but not all will touch. cn

no i know what mao means and how its used. i use it all the time with long distance shooting of 200+ yards. but my rifle is sighted in at 100 and its a tack driver. 5 rounds all touching and overlapping at 100. my point being he has a 300 win mag. at 100 yards u shouldnt have to worry about bullet drop and compensating for it. also a 300 win mag with such a long barrel should make holes overlap no problem at 100 yards. you should be able to shoot hole inside hole inside hole. also the only reason i ever dope my scope within a hundred yards is if i slammed my gun up against something offed my scope a bit and it shooting off. i havent had to change anything major within a hundred yards since i put the scope on my gun. maybe a 1/4" mao at most.

Never shoot from the bench while taking an MOA inhibitor. ;) cn
also i never shoot from a bench rest. i shoot shoulder to gun or nothing at all. i lay prone for those hard to reach shots. lol. but never a bench rest even with me being a crippled ass id still rather get on the ground and get my hands dirty that to use a sled for tough shots. if im checking how accurate my gun could be without me maybe. but i dont see the fun in it. i cant stand those guys that bring their sleds to the range to shoot 20 rounds thru a single hole in the paper. i try to shoot a good grouping. normally they all touch and overlap but sometimes a guy just has shitty days. lol. then put a bunch of quarter sized shoot and sees out at a hundred to hit individual targets. about 20. i normally go thru about 40 rounds total in about 2 hours with a few breaks here and there. 20 shoot and sees with one hole and 4 groups of 5 rounds on a 8 inch shoot and see target.

I have found that the best rest while hunting is my knee. There is nothing more steady while ground hunting.

I'll use a sled while sighting in my rifle. Nothing wrong with that considering you want your rifle to be completely zeroed and I don't really think you can accomplish that by holding the rifle without a rest. A lot of things can throw off a zero, like trigger pull or poor breathing. Out in the field is a different story. I may use a bipod, but I usually just use my knee if I need extra brace.

yeah. for sure. hunting is a kneel. target shooting is prone if its a long enough distance. also my back cant take lugging around a rifle so i tend to stick to varmint shooting as of late. its easier to carry around a .223 for coyotes and stuff and a .17hmr for the wabbits and small stuff. altho a good sized rabbit will explode it u hit it with a .223 varmint grenade and hornady v-max bullet. lmfao. was kinda impressed in the lethality of those damn things actually. they make small creatures explode. lmao. the 17 is nice and light and can reach out to about 200 yards and smash a squirrel pretty accurately with the heavier 20+ grain ammo with not a whole lot of wind. i like the .17 way more than the .22 just for velocity, accuracy and pure explosiveness of the round towards those pesky crop eaters. the .22 in my opinion is just cheap and easy ammo to shoot for fun anymore at cans and shit. not to mention those pesky zombies. lol.

bahahahaha. lol. its all good for sighting a rifle but once its sighted do u still use it? i hate the guys that sit there talking shit. "my gun shoots thru the same hole everytime." lol. until they actually touch more than the trigger that is. i try to shoot from the shoulder to keep my practice and skill up. id rather be able to hit my target with some presicion on my own becuz u never know when ur going to need that trusty sled to drop the dear at a hundred yards. lol.
