So I've ordered my first TGA strain to see what all the hooplah is about...Running a pack of Deep Purple.

The only reason I'm pissed is, I got all girls!! I needed to breed this batch, and due to the "TGA curse", got 5 out of 5 females.

I just thought it was extremely ironic due to how Subcool continuously rants about hating feminized seeds...And I know that this can happen with regular seeds. But it is funny that it is a regularly occurring phenomena, people getting awkward male to female ratios with TGA.

Anyway, the Deep Purple is looking killer, I'll throw up a report of her once more is documented.

I'm overall very pleased with what I've seen from TGA genetics so far, just wanted to bitch about not getting my male, much less being able to select a male for breeding!! Guess I need to pop 20 seeds next time...

high ratio of females is absolutly normal, i would not use CS^^^ but what i would use is a mutagen(STS, GA, cholcine or something like that) and force male flowers to appears so i could make regs seeds with even though i have all females.

but thats not the point.

MY POINT IS 5 females in a row even in reg seeds of any strain, any breeder is not that rare.

me as the nice guy i am would send you more seeds so you could try for a male.

but as i know how subcool is from reading his stuff, he doesnt really want people to breed his stuff, not to mention you would still have to be in cally to get the correct strains to breed with using his stuff to get replicas or even to stabilize, because he works with poly hybrids from clone strains. which is cool in my books but anyone in cally can do it without him(make poly hybrid strains to selll from those "clone only" strains.)

so if i where you i would plan on not being satisfied with TGA, the plants oh hell yeah they will be great, the company tho...-"shrugs shoulders".

Just keep popping those seeds -- I'm running Jillybean and got two males the first time out, and now have two beautiful females. And I remember reading a thread about a guy complaining because he got 15 males in 15 seeds. And he was blaming Subcool for it.

I ordered a 5 pack of ripped bubba and got only one sprout turned out to be male so I'm collecting for a project. The male had amazing features amazing quality in the pollen and growth! My last batch of seeds all sprouted 13 out of 13. 6 of which are regulars

I completely don't understand the logic behind not being able to breed with TGA's genetics....How do you think they supply seeds to their customers?? Sub has multiple videos up of his breeding practices, so I would politely argue that his genetics will be wonderful for breeding. "Polyhybrids" can be stabilized through repeated pool selection, just as simple crosses can become unstable through haphazard breeding practices.

In my opinion, if the chromosomes and dna are present, they can be used to form new life. Now what that life might look like, that is definitely to be seen.

I think Subcool would be completely fine with me breeding with his strains, and would probably encourage it. All props will go to the original breeders, and any new strains I create will list all of the original breeders. That's why I don't really care for Arjan from Greenhouse seeds, He will take somebody else's work, mass produce it, and boast "Look what Greenhouse Seeds produced". I've tried about 20 seed banks, I really like Soma and Sensi, but from what I've seen lately, The U.S. has the finest cannabis, along with the finest seedbanks, in the world. TGA, DNA and Reserva Privada, TH Seeds.....All repping some of the best genes in the world, although to be fair two of those companies have roots in Amsterdam.

I wanted to order the Ripped Bubba so bad, as well as Plush Berry and Chernobyl. ALL of them are out of stock. I wish Subcool would contract more breeders for the TGA crew, and get more of these genes out there. Because people are sucking them up like fucking crack rocks. He just ran a seed batch of Ace of Spades, and it was available on Attitude for around a week.

I know he wants to stay small, but I really want some of these genetics they keep running out of. That's why when I get them, I breed with them.

About to order a 10 pack of Cheese Quake and a 5 pack of Querkle before those sell out too...lol.

i always buy 2 packs of everything (minimum of 20 seeds) because i have often gotten all fems with just 10 seeds. if you want to be sure to get a male, you really should buy more than 5 at a time.

Hempdepot seems to be in stock on these AND they're on sale -- normally $105 for a 10 pack, now $75. I use Hempdepot and they've been great.

every thing you just wrote is wrong, but if thats you opinion thats you opinion, i gave you facts if you dont like them thats your problem im just glad im not subcool.

also TGA, DNA and RP are definitely not the best in the world and no offense to them cause they are good breeders.

Only problem with turning 1 hermi is that the hermi gene gets passed on.. and that kind of sucks... but it's kind of cool too. Breeders can't say much about using their own genetics to breed their own plants, can they? I can deal with hermi's if I am getting purple bud like that... Can't I?

hehe.... Awww... poor me, I gotta pick the seeds out of this purpley bud.... =( Life is so sucky..... LOL!

I would argue that TGA offers some of the best cannabis in the world. DNA and Reserva Privada also. And many people would agree. TH Seeds has some consistently good offerings. I love Big Buddha. Have respect for Barney's Farm, but don't grow them. Probably 10 other Amsterdam seed banks I've tried. I just offer my opinion on what I've tried, which is around 20-30 seed banks. I would like to save some people the trouble of trial and error.
