Screwing my plants...

I'm on my first grow and i have through the entire process of learning how to grow i have heard rumors of a technique of putting a sterile screw through the bottom of the plants stalk the last three days causing it to believe it is dying and produce a larger quantity of thrichromes throughout the plant. My first question is does this method work. My second is how often has anyone encountered any health risks to their plants such as disease from this method. My third is how far up the stalk, how far though the stalk and when during the flowering phase should i begin this. Thank your for your dedicated help forum and i look forward to your replys.

A disease in the last 3 days would be a real long shot but the whole thing sounds pretty dorky. The smoke is good or it ain't and wounding the plant would have to be explained to me how it works biologically.

This sounds pretty ridiculous. But they are your plants so let us know how they come out.

I have seen quite a few people arguing the positive effects from doing this.
I have never done it myself and doubt I ever will. But there are people who do it.

no, put it in the back seat and run a hose from the tailpipe in the window. emo plants prefer it. you gotta have the right pheno tho, or it wont work.

This was an old school technique I remember reading about back in the 80's. I think it was in one of the first Ask Ed books. There was a whole theory about stress in flower,and how it caused increased potency. These days growers seem to fear stress with a passion. Kinda funny the way tides tend to turn..

i'm pretty sure this is a technique that Uncle Ben raves about
he's been talking about it for years

you should definitely pm uncle ben about the nail through stalk technique
