Yesterday i started the germination of 3 seeds. The seeds are either Crackleberry Kush or Sour D.
After I can tell their sex, i will then go right into flowering, in foxfarm soil, with a hydrospike watering system.

I need help deciding on which nute system to use. From either choices 1, 2, or 3.

#1- Ebay bundle, I can buy a 3 nute bundle, but i need help with which ones to buy?
Advanced Nutrients Bundle Big Bud Candy Voodoo B 52 Overdrive Iguana Juice Rhino | eBay

#2- Seems like a very simple 2 part set
Dutch Master Gold Flower A&B Set - Dutch M

#3- Ebay, 2 parts broken down into 4
Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow Bloom Part A B

Which enhancer do you think is best? Humboldt HONEY HYDRO CARB or SNOW STORM ULTRA or Humboldt PURPLE MAXX 8 OZ

I also plan on using black strap molasses, now is it better to feed the plant this before harvest or through out the plants duration?

Please share any experiences you've had with these nutes! And which ones shows the most effect?

If you wanted to use the AN lineup, you would use both 1 AND 3.

Or just 3 by itself.

You would not want to try to use just 1 by itself.

^ this is snake oil. Don't waste your money.

Plants need NPK, cal mag, and micronutrients (found in A & B mixes).

I have fantastic success using nothing but A&B, a half does of nitrogen booster one time right before flowering, cal mag (because I run soilless), and PK boosters.

Unless you're doing organics, everything else is just pooring cash in your res for no reason. Just because it comes in a cool looking bottle with wild claims on it does not mean you're going to get a benefit from it. More often than not people who poor too much crap into their res end up with bad tasting bud.

Those are all snake oil as well. Also - you only need stuff like molasses if you are planning on relying on biologicals. Plants don't get fat by uptaking sugars into their roots.

Keep it as simple as possible, I assure you that you can grow top shelf bud without any fancy additives.

ive heard nothing but good things about products like snow storm ultra and honey carb, are you saying theyre ineffective or that i should just keep it simple as possible?
I'd like someone to explain to me what snow storm ultra is. When a nutrient company can't explain what's in their product, and only make too good to be true promises, it's nearly always bullshit.

By the end of my first year of doing hydro I was up to using 15 different products into my res. Every time I got a new additive I noticed a huge improvement. But then a funny thing happened. A friend of mine convinced me that to just try the basics. And guess what? All those improvements remained even without the additives. Turns out it wasn't the nutrients at all, I was just getting better at running hydro. My bud that cycle looked and yielded about the same, but it tasted waaaaay better.

This is what nut companies rely on. They target new growers with wild promises. They count on the fact that you're going to get better with experience. Then they claim the success was due to their product and then hope you will just continue using it because it worked before. Except the thing is it's not the products at all, it's your own improvement.

Work on your pruning skills, know when your plants are the right size to flip to flowering, make sure they are getting an even distribution of light. Try to keep your temperature as even as possible. Make sure you've got adequate air movement. Keep your ph consistent. Then when you've got all that down, add co2. This is how you grow good bud. Good bud doesn't come from a bottle of nutrients. There are no shortcuts.

Plants like water and enough nutrition to keep them healthy. That's it. They don't need all that other junk and you're not likely to receive any sort of tangible benefit from those products.

how long can a plant stay in one of these grow systems?
I've never used that system but it appears as they aren't made to grow big plants. I would just wait a few days - a week for the plants to adapt to their environment and flower them right away.

WOW, you are just feeding me with valueable info.!!!! How often should the water be changed?
Depends on your system. IDK. I run drain to waste now so I don't think about that too much. But when I was running flood and drain I changed my res every week when I used humboldt nutrients, every second week after I switched to House and garden/canna.

Here's the nuts I think you need for growing -

A two part A&B system. I prefer H&G because it's not that expensive and is really clean, but really most two part systems will work just as well. Canna, botanicare, etc.. It's all good.

Calmag. Running soilless you need to add Calcium and magnesium.

P-K booster. While and A&B nutrient system will probably give you all the PK you need if you run the PPM's super high, I like to run pretty light doses of A&B, then boost the PK levels. I've noticed no differences in switching brands, but I have noticed humboldt and house and garden pk boosters are really expensive and MOAB doesn't dissolve very easily and some of it ends up at the bottom of my res. I like those fox farm pk boosters or koolbloom. They are cheap, they work, and they don't gunk up my res.

So that's it. 4 total bottles of nuts and the bud comes out fantastic.

Very rarely do you ever see a new grower have a bad round due to lack of nutrient supplements as long as they are using the basics. But you see overfertalization all the time.

Nutrients are almost an afterthought IMO. Keep your ph in check, make sure your plants are getting enough light. Keep your temp in check and have proper airflow. Do this and you're very likely to have a lot of success.
