spandy.. LOL! Yeh, that pretty much puts the nail in the coffin...

I didn't even read his posts, I was more involved with devising a system that would hold 40 plants... LOL!

Not to mention I'm not to keen on giving tips to folks who grow for profit that only see dollar signs as the end game.

In my mind if you're doing this to make money, you're a manufacturer, not a grower. Greedy.... It's what will kill it.
it wont let me +rep you again lol

i wonder how useful his solar panels will be on the east side of portland during winter. he'll be lucky to run his coffee maker with the amount of sun we get.

and yes, i am just assuming he is on the east side of portland where all the real "gangstas" live. portlanders will get this stab i just took.

what's that old line about never meeting anyone alone in a dark place to buy weed on the east side unless you want to get robbed? this guy gives me that vibe.

With a space that big I would get light movers. Covers way more area with way less electricity and way less heat to deal with. Plus, it actually gets better light coverage on the plant, bc the movement of the light helps it get to places on the plant that a stationary light couldn'tget to.

Not to mention, I think it seems more natural. Plants don't normally get a full 16 hours of light a day; clouds move through the sky and whatnot. The sun changes position., etc..

I started using 1 1000 watt light my first grow, I'm trying to double my yield with my second grow and get over 1 gram per watt. Hopefully im gonna have a bigger space the next time around and whip out the light mover, see what kind of uncanny numbers I can get.

Without stating how much room you have, how do you know you have room for 40 plants? I figure I need 4-5 square feet per plant that is flowering. Unless you are staggering your grow or you are using a humongous space you may want to re-think the 40 plants thing. Your limiting factor will be how much room you are designating for flowering. Using 2 rooms, one to veg another to flower, you should plan on the flowering room being 3-4 times the size of the veg room. If you do have the room I would want at least 4 lights of 600-1000W.
