Here it comes - gun control!!!

lol. You could have said the same with a simple: blah blah, blah blah blah, blah, sound of shit being spewed.

Still haven't read the NASA paper I found for you huh? And twisting the debate, stating I said somthing that I didn't. Way to go doc, you're good at this.
Lastly, I have never commented before on your spelling, and lack their of. It was just too funny to see a guy talk down an animal as stupid while repeatedly misspelling the name of the breed, which happens to be extremely easy, due to the fact that the dog is used by shepherds to herd sheep. Go figure you would misspell an intelligent act done by oh so dumb of a dog, at least according to you.

Guess that common sense just passes right over you huh? Much like your ability to read and interpret basic 2axis line graphs.

It's rather hilarious how often you are caught trying to force your incorrect knowledge and opinion on others as truth and fact; like your incredibly deep knowledge of materials; or your knowledge that the GSD breed is "as dumb as rocks".

As dumb as rocks huh? So which breed is so intelligent as to make the GSD seem "as dumb as rocks"? Are you going to educate me about my dog? Is she a bad girl?

e; @ Red
The irony; and I'll prove it
I'm serious. I want you to backup your statement that the GSD is "as dumb as a box of rocks". Else we know you just go around saying a bunch of nonsense, which you clearly think is correct. Enlighten me doc.

"the German Sheppards are too stupid and difficult to train."
What a load of crap. Remember, these same "dumb as rocks dogs" are used as bomb/drug/cancer sniffing dogs, as well as police and military animals. I guess the requirement must have been that they are hard to train and dumb as rocks.
once again you make bold statements with no facts to support em.

the German Sheppard breed (sheppard being a common spelling of Sheepherd, shepard shepherd etc etc etc they all mean "One Who Herds Sheep." whats really funny is you think your dog is the model of the breed despite the breed being a designer dog from ~1900.

the "german sheep herder dog" before that was called "dog" since herding sheep was a task for REAL dogs not imagined perfect show breeds that didnt exist yet.
eaarly attempts to craft a custom german version of the most popular herding dogs in europe at the time, the malinois sheep dog, the belgian sheep dog and a few other sporting dogs resulted in dogs that LOOKED like the idealized german sheep dog envisioned by the kraut dog breeders of the time but were DUMB. so dumb and obstinate as toii be nearly untrainable which is why the nazis began breeding them with the alsatian sheep dog and the belgian sheep dog resulting in what is now usually called a german sheppard.

after nearly 40 years of overbreeding the german sheppard is once again as dumb as a bag of hammers on average. even the german magazine Der Spiegel laments this fact as you can read here.
http://www.spiegel.de/international/zeitgeist/dumb-and-dumpy-can-the-german-shepherd-be-saved-a-794310.html

any more questions?

Edit: ohh yeah this article also states (as is true) that the Malinois and belgian sheppard are more popular in police and military circles now, since the german sheppards are slow lazy dumb and obstinate.

see thats just gotta hurt.

"Shepard" and "Sheppard" are common surnames, obviously derived from archaisms and corruptions of "shepherd". The dog is a German Shepherd (Alsatian to speakers of British English). I cannot find any of the proposed alternate spellings listed or defended anywhere but sites discussing names, where spelling is unrestricted. cn

even der spiegel is bitching about how dumb german shepherds are. see that just looks funny, Sheppard.

anyhow, malinois and belgian sheep dogs are superior.

did you know that ANYONE can buy a Silenced Assault Dog in America without a permit or a background check or anything? Even Children!
It's true! they're called Basenjis on the street, and gangbangers like them because they are silenced and the cops cant hear them!

LOLOLOl hahahah. You say that for your first statement, then post an online, translated article with the reputation of "50 facebook likes". LOLOLOLOL

Dude, please, you're killing me here.
Go google, "german shepherd dumb" and post the result count, and then search, "german shepherd smart" and post the result count here. For every 1 or your articles bashing the GSD, I can literally post 10+ against it.

Oh yeah, GSD are sooo bad for military purposes, so much so that we still utilize them heavily, even in combat.

You're point is that they are dumb as rocks, and hard to train. You lost. No arguing. Face it. I just proved that they are obviously smart and trainable enough to be used as a bomb sniffing dog in the military, as well as a police dog, and finally one that parachutes...

If you google digital TVs, you'll get millions of hits saying they're "teh awesome!" But they'd be majorly WRONG! Nothing beats a CRT, except maybe the never released SED.

The black level, refresh and reliability of a CRT is unmatched. In those areas nothing can beat it. I've seen a Sony G90 reach over 700,000:1 real contrast ratio. No digital can instantly go to near no illumination. The problem with digital over CRT, while CRT can still be near black with luminance signal one value past 0 IRE, a digital at 0.5 IRE looks no different than 5 IRE.

Your normal TV consumer has no idea wtf I was talking about. So your google bullshit is just that, bullshit.

The best thing to have when a bad guy is standing there with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Placing restrictions on guns only hurts the non-criminal gun owner. Almost all crimes committed with guns are illegally purchased guns anyways. There was an "assault weapons" ban during the time that Columbine happened and those kids managed to get their hands on them anyways. Our 2nd amendment rights were put there to help us defend ourselves from our own government if necessary and we are losing that right more and more with each restriction added. I think it is terrible what happened to those kids but I truly believe that no amount of gun restrictions would have prevented it. He would have gotten his hands on a gun one way or another. If not a gun he could have made a pipe bomb or something. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

I remember this story told to me by my high school campus cop.

A Korean gang member insulted a Mexican Blood. So the Blood went to the Korean's trailor park with several dozen of his friends armed with chains, bats and knives. The Korean was an ex-militia. He was waiting for them with an uzi. Let's just say the Bloods left him alone from then on.

All it took was one Korean and a dozen or so Mexicans left the guy with the single uzi alone.

Let's assume we could magically destroy all guns. So no cops, military, law abiders and criminals had even a single gun.

How do you suggest we handle a dozen or more angry people? With the same amount of cops? Will they all duke it out MMA style?

That would be awesome! The show Cops will become like the old Jerry Springer before the bruiser kept guests in line. I can't fucking wait!

German Shepherds were bred specifically for their intelligence,[SUP][22][/SUP] a trait for which they are now renowned.[SUP][4][/SUP] In the book The Intelligence of Dogs, authorStanley Coren ranked the breed third for intelligence, behind Border Collies and Poodles.[SUP][23][/SUP][SUP][24][/SUP] He found that they had the ability to learn simple tasks after only five repetitions and obeyed the first command given 95% of the time.[SUP][4][/SUP] Coupled with their strength, this trait makes the breed desirable as police, guard, and search and rescue dogs, as they are able to quickly learn various tasks and interpret instructions better than other large breeds.[SUP][25]

[/SUP]
Often used as working dogs, German Shepherds are courageous, keen, alert and fearless. Cheerful, obedient and eager to learn. Tranquil, confident, serious and clever. GSDs are extremely faithful, and brave. They will not think twice about giving their lives for their human pack. They have a high learning ability. German Shepherds love to be close to their families, but can be wary of strangers. This breed needs his people and should not be left isolated for long periods of time. They only bark when they feel it is necessary. Often used as police dogs, the German Shepherd has a very strong protective instinct, and is extremely loyal to its handler.

The German Shepherd Dog is one of the most versatile dog breeds, excelling as a working dog, a companion, a protector and competing at the highest levels in conformation and performance events.

German Shepherds were originally bred in 1899 by Captain Max von Stephanitz in Karlsruhe,Germany[FONT=georgia, serif] for use as herding dogs. They were introduced to the US in 1907 and quickly became one of the most popular dog breeds. Rin-Tin-Tin and Strongheart became famous in movies and on television, and the heartwarming shows that catapulted them to fame helped to grow the breed's popularity even further. Today, these dogs who were originally bred for herding are now top military, police, and rescue dogs. Their intelligence, loyalty, and eagerness to work make them ideal for these jobs. They are also fantastic seeing eye and therapy dogs. German Shepherds have even been trained to notify diabetics that their blood sugar is low, or to bark insistently when their owner is about to have a seizure. Their keen noses help them sniff out drugs, explosives, or people trapped by natural disasters, and their intelligence helps them to make life and death decisions in an instant.[/FONT]

[FONT=georgia, serif]Wow, German Shepherds sound sooo dumb! I'm so glad that a person on the internet can dispel all the vicious rumors about how smart German Shepherds are!

Dr. Kynes, you're smarter than every breeder, and dog expert there is. Thanks for being so awesome. It's refreshing that someone who can't spell 'shepherd' knows so much about the German Shepherd breed... or should I spell it brie-d?

If your dog is destructive it's because you either don't spend the necessary time training it, or you don't spend the necessary time exercising it.
