Beef- have you done any grows with the basic Grow/Bloom AB and added one additive from that list at a time? Like start with just B-52, then the next round throw in Voodoo, then Sens., etc.?

What Im getting at is what additives have you seen the most positive and/or negative consequences from? Guessing there's not too much negative if youre still running em.

For someone just starting off or wanting to mix up their nute regime this could really shed some like on what really matters and pulls some real weight ;)

(Not trying to jack your thread Frank, thought you would appreciate this as well)

I went into full geek mode and fired up Excel so I could see exactly how much it would cost me to run a full Advanced Nutrient plan. The numbers are quite revealing.



This is for a 3 weeks vegging / 8 weeks flowering grow in a 6 gallon bubbleponics. Obviously prices may change according to your area but it's in the ballpark.

Cost for supps for the entire grow would be 523.17$. At that price and assuming you can resell your product to other medical patients (MMAR allows you to do that here), the supps would have to increase yield by at least 4.36oz. Prices here range from 120 to 226$/oz so I'm using the minimum to assess a worse case scenario situation. I assume taste and potency are also enhanced by supps so using yield alone as a barometer for your ROI is kind of misguided but I'm keeping this simple.

At this point it's everybody's guess which supplement is most likely to enhance your yield but if you look at the pricing per ml, they're priced all around the same.

Though if you look at the right column the cost for Bud Factor X and Bud Blood factor for almost 40% of total supplement regimen costs.

What I'd like to hear is whether these make for 40% of the yield increase. Only the experience grower will be able to tell I suppose.

I don't use the required dosages either. You can't! I mixed them up at their recommended dosages and I was at 3300ppm!

You mean to tell me that you're monster's cant handle 3000ppm, riiiiidonkulous lol ;P

Safe to say half dose? Those numbers up top (mainly the resupply) were quite discouraging. Should have considered youre not gonna run full dosage. na-herr... Thanks beef

It's crazy how many supps and nutes there are out there.

Investing even 400$ in nutes in a single grow sounds nuts to me. I can't imagine any supplements giving you an extra 2oz.

I've done 3 grows off 1L bottles.

The only thing I've had to 're-up' in three grows is my Big Bud, Sensi Bloom AB, and Bud Candy. I would say I probably spend about $60-125 per grow in nutes.

I forgot I also use Tranatula Powder.... very sparingly though... 5-10 waterings I give them some. It's VERY expensive....

Likewise, Voodoo juice is about $65 for 500ml. :o



I water using 4L jugs, and the recommended dosage would be something like this for week 5;

16ml Sensi Bloom A
16ml Sensi Bloom B
8ml Sensizyn
8ml B-52
8ml Big Bud
8ml Bud Factor X
8ml Bud Candy
8ml Overdrive


I use this;

10ml Sensi Bloom A
10ml Sensi Bloom B
4ml Sensizyn
4ml B-52
4ml Big Bud
4ml Bud Factor X
4ml Bud Candy
4ml Overdrive

If I use Bud Blood, tarantula, or Voodoo juice, I substitute one of the other additives. For example in week one-two I would use 4ml Voodoo juice and tarantula powder instead of overdrive and Bud Candy....

The main point is that don't mix them to recommended dosages! lol

My ppm usually runs around 1000-1300, and my water is 220-250 naturally.

So you just pre-mix all your nutes and supps, then throw it in the res, and for the rest of the week you just op off with water?

Then at Week 6 you drain and restart?

Im confused on that front.

I'm soil remember? lol

I have a 70L resevoir that I pH balance to 7 every week and a half to two weeks.

When I need to water the ladies, I use a 4L jug to dip in my 70L res to get the water, mix to the proportions above and it gives me the ppm numbers listed above.

I change what I add to the 4L jug depending on which week I'm in. But at no point do nutes go into my reservoir, only pH down.... and ocassionaly pH up when I use too much pH down lol.

So, if you had a 100L res, just use x25 as much - I'm no hydro expert, but I've definitely read that people change their water every 2-3 weeks, sometimes longer. I don;t think you're going to break the bank... well, not after you just bought some of the best gear possible for your first grow... lol

You'd be using mostly Sensi Grow/Bloom... which isn't really that expensive anyways.

It pretty much says this on every bottle of AN nutes;

"Insert nutrient name here" has been specially designed for use with all hydroponics, sphagnum, coco coir and soil growing mediums."Insert nutrient name here" has been developed for use with any and all hydroponics, aeroponic, drip irrigation, NFT, flood and drain and continuous liquid feed growing systems.

How big is your res, and how often do you intend to completely change the water?

Ive been on the Dyna series since ive began supplying myself and have recently just started using the Grow solution the whole way through. Just about as simple as you can get. Most ppl say you dont need any micronute sup's but I am still considering branching out and mixing things up a tad.

..what do you need a light rail for, youre in a tent right? Like biscuit said- you dont seem too concerned about your cap with the setup you're building, maybe keep it held back for a 8x4' or 10x5' down the road.

EDIT: I don't know what relevance I saw in this earlier, sorry; pretty sure I was just thinking out loud lol
