CFL Stealth/Micro Grow Idea. want opinions.

Hey guys, i have an idea of how i want to build a grow box and i want some help and opinions. This is for one or two plants but i think il be lucky to get one to grow in such a small space.

so first i have measurements of a wooden box i want to use..
Ok Next I will put a 12v pc fan for exhaust on the top with a carbon filter connected. Then a 12v Intake fan on the bottom of the box. Both fans will be running 24/7.
Next i will have four 40watt 5000k cfls and i will have them on two twin socket adapters picture underneath
So four lights in total. The lights will be connected seperatly from the fans to a timer for the 18/6 and then 12/12.
I will either put mylar on the inside or just paint it plain white because i know tinfoil sucks. If this will work out like i want it to i would lst the plant and possibly FIM or top. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Im posting pics of this exact set-up (few variations) later tonight if you want an idea of how it will turn out. Your gonna want another extraction fan or bigger intake or some kind of heat shield (clear plastic) to regulate temps better. my own set-up runs alittle hot and i need to adjust things tonight also.

how many plants do you think will fit in your set-up? If i had autos then i think i can get away with 2 but i dont have any just bag seed at the moment, so i only think one will fit.

3-4 would fit in each side (veg/flower) My pots are too bulky for the space as they were from the old room where they fit fine.

how long are you wanting to veg for? casuse in my exp with cfl shorter veg has been better for small spaces.

i would say about 6-8 weeks but not sure about it because last year i grew one outside and pulled 3oz off and didnt have to worry about the cycles. how many weeks do you think i should veg for in this box iyo?

i would recommend to get rid of that tinfoil and replace it with mylar or white paint. tinfoil can burn your plants

Thanks do you think tin foil is the reason for my high temp?

yes it is a high chance that the tinfoil is the cause of the heat, also do you have any intake/exhaust fans in your box.

i have opening at the back of the box, but no exhaust fans(Cant afford them at the moment)

Your box looks good. I recommend doing a Dr.BudGreenGenes method and going 12/12 from seed

I just posted another idea of a CFL Micro Cabinet using a IKEA storage unit just for seedlings/early veg. Kind of getting turned off by the idea looking at the amount of CFL's needed to have a decent amount of "light" and scared of heat issues.

If you put a fan in there, I dont think you'll have any heat problems at all. You can get a cheap computer fan for dirt cheap, even free if you find someone who has an old broke computer thats wanting to throw it away

this looks like a good setup. i like how the light blubs are in it looks like there is 3 spliters.

with a similar grow cabinet i have, you will have to incorporate intake hole and and exhaust fans to cool the light bulbs sufficiently.

I'm about to start a single plant in a box about this size... Start to finish, bag seed, scrog. Should I put a fan? Or even 2? Probably 6/8 23w Cfl's.
