.999 Pure Silver=$30/oz, Cannabis=$500/oz : An interesting perspective

How ironic is it that a wonderful, renewable resource that is Cannabis costs what it does? Rather than talk about "dollars" I was curious as to how it compares to the only true money. We all know Gold to be the standard when it comes to precious metals. Silver is more of a "poor man's" precious metal, but precious nonetheless.. Even with all the economic factors that go into determining metal prices, mining, refining, etc. it still costs $30. I find that to be absolutely crazy to think about. Wasn't Judas paid 30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus?

All religion aside, I find it an insult to my Lord and Savior that today, that amount of silver wouldn't even get you 2 ounces.. I bought a few silver coins for myself before, pure silver, 1 oz each. So to get an ounce of good weed, you would need over 16 beautiful, pure silver coins. This is a fun game, lets play some more The morning of Sept 11, 2001, GOLD was $275/oz!!! Since 9/11 the dollar has lost over 1/3 of its value. Sure as hell wages haven't increased accordingly, but the costs of everything else has. Come tax time this year, grab the vaseline and try not to clench. Uncle Sam going after growers and smokers, and giving us the bill for it. On a side note, I think if the gov't makes a big push for a gun ban, all hell is gonna break loose. Bottom line: we live in such a crazy world that a precious metal isn't even worth its weight, in A PLANT!!! Not by a long shot! [End Rant]

i pay 300 and i think there is more beauty and value in an ounce of weed than an once of silver or gold or platnium or diamonds, they do nothing for me at all, where as weed has been my best friend, confidant, mother, lover, teacher and console.

It's not my fault the cops and federal gov have made it so expensive to a point they are thinking of letting us use it
socially, then they can tax and lic. it to death and keep the prices high.

Under our current fractional reserve banking system(based upon debt and inflation as hidden taxation), we are all worth substantially less than our parents. However, we're still worth enough for the greedy bankers to keep us around. They didn't get rich by being stupid, the U.S. is now the new China in many ways.

Our children will have to work 60 hours/week to make our current 40 hour week.

And therefore, not growing cannabis at this time in history is the equivalent of not setting up an illegal still 2 years before prohibition. The continued fight between the states and feds are keeping prices elevated.

And I usually pull 16 to 24 oz's out from under it (depending on strain)....so...$19/oz @ 16 oz's, $13/oz @ 24...not too bad.

My cost is actually substantially less, but I make my own Promix etc. My cost for the same 600 runs 25-30/mo extra on the electric.
