yeah it is the same concept as a fan just more elbow work for you. any stress that you put a plant through will cause a plant to grow in a way to deal with said stress. unless the stress is too heavy and kills it. and the stress has to be constant. cant say "well instead of a bamboo stick ill use a baseball bat and only do it once"....yeah less is more HAHAHAHAHA

Word! Worked for me the first time around, so I'll do it every chance I get. I don't mind the extra work. Gives me something to do all the time. Between my obsessive rotation of the plants, my constant tying down of new growth, and the tapping and bending of my new seedlings, I'm occupied!
That's my game haha, trying to be as productive as possible with annoying my plants haha.

I recently had to pull up a few seedlings and repot them...They've taken well since haha so with that said, seedlings seem to be pretty sturdy and resilient, so you're NOT gonna kill them with the fan or by tapping them unless you fan is on Hurricane Katrina.
I'll be pushing it with my seedsling this time around just to see what they can endure.

With every grow will come some sorta different experiment! Until I nail it down for good:joint:

I am really curious what will be the outcome of my grow. Feminized DP blueberry...the opinions are divided. Some are saying it's a strain made in the late '70 and it has a special type of taste and it's very strong and potent and the plant itslef it's very strong and resistant; and it's a masochistic type of plant, she enjoys all sorts of toppings and LSTs. Some are saying it's a nasty strain to work with, very high change of mutants and hermies especially when traumatized.

Hey perkele!

I'm growing the same strain (DP BB) since october (first time growing with lots of experimenting), and my experience is, that the ones i got from DP are sensitive a little to the temperature change. But i don't have to give them as much nutrients as to the other strains for example. 8 weeks and i can harvest the lady, and a few more weeks and i can taste the product of this famous strain, if everything goes right.

Hope you the best as well!

Don't be surprised if she goes 10-11 weeks. It's worth it though,
in My opinion. The buds only get better with the cure also.
I probably wouldn't grow it again from seed, but I'd take a clone,
and keep her in my garden quite a while.

by any chance do you have a journal I can check, would be interesting to see how she developed and what experiments you've done with her. Regarding temp, from what I've read, they are saying that the purple color appears when you lower the temp in the last period of flowering. I have another thing I will do and I have done with my previous plant and it looked like it was working. In the last 2 weeks of flowering what I like to do is whenever I feed the plant, I am putting the water in the fridge and putting even some ice cubes in it to make it as cold as possible, so the plant is sensing the "winter" and fuck man!!! you have to see the frostiness that is appearing ! it's a great method, she is making more frost to protect from the induced cold.

10-11 weeks of flowering? or from seed? the bank was saying she's a quick one, but I don't mind waiting even 10-11 weeks for flowering. I am planning to let them into vegetative stage for about 5 weeks, maybe more, cause I am planing to do some topping and maybe some LST on them so I have to give them a bit of recovery time so that will increase the amount of time in vegetation.

Day 17 from seed for the 1st one - looking good, no new issues
Day 10 from seed for the 2nd one - still developing in slow motion.
If everything goes well, next week I am planning to start doing some LST on the first one.

couple of questions...when should I consider topping? according to https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/151706-uncle-bens-topping-technique-get.html I could get 4 main coals but I would be pleased with 2 as well. If one wants 4 main coals, isn't the FIMming better for that? Has anyone tried Uncle Ben's technique? When is the best period to start topping?
New pics only Thursday I think. I will be going for 3 days with a job and I'll post new pics on Thursday. Till them I think she will be ready for topping +/- LST

Yeah, mine went a long time. I should mention, I like my bud with around 50% amber trichs.
i like a more "stoned to the bone" high.
11 weeks from 12/12 flip. I think the veg was 6 weeks.

I topped my bb at 3 weeks from seed. I remember waiting that long, because they were slow in veg. I'd say you would be good just
topping once. Also be ready to support those branches when the buds bulk,
because mine wanted to bend to the ground. Long branches after the 12/12 flip.

Yea, I think this is strain and grow room dependent. I always went at the 5 node , but I had a stable strain and 40 inch give or take ceiling , in the old days of verticals
