This thread is an overview of a new rig I'm building.
Here are a couple of (outdated) images to start:
As you might have noticed, this is a 4-site vertical grow using wire fencing as a trellis.
The tent's dimensions are 120cm × 120cm × 200cm. A traditional lamp-over-plants method would result in a natural canopy area of 1.2m².
By contrast, this vertical orientation gives me about 5.6m² of usable canopy space.
My plan is to train the growing stalks along the trellis in such a way as to create a single layer of foliage, thereby making the most efficient use of the lamps' natural radiation patterns.
Clearly absent from this drawing revision are ventilation, air circulation, trellis stands and a number of other elements which I hope to outline in greater detail in future posts.
