BIG problems with HTG Supply

ive read about them screwing over customers. This just adds to their horrible rep
There in lies the problem,never trust anything you read that is sales oriented,forums are full of shills who either post good things about gear they sell or bad shit about gear others sell.

Ebay feedback is a much better indicator than shit you read on forums.

perhaps you work for HTG and your here to try and cover up all their fuck ups.

come 9pm, if pics arent up, then you can be a dick. for now, twiddle your thumbs and count the minutes.

I'm not bashing HTG but I did buy their complete "closet cultivator" kit and the ballast stopped working less than a month later. This just happened a couple days ago so I haven't even called them to see if they will replace it and will therefore not comment on their customer service. Everything was definitely in new condition but I had to modify one of the hood's reflector pieces for the socket to fit in it. It was like they sent me two of the side opposite the socket, there was no hole at all for the socket to go through. Again, not hating on HTG - they have the cheapest equipment to get you started but like with everything you eventually learn that you get what you pay for.

i know some people are still going to talk shit. saying i damaged them and what not. say what you will, and think what you want. im not going to tell you to go buy from so and so, im not going to tell you not to order from them. its your money. here on out i know where mine is going to go and get spent. im shopping on craigslist. i can get great deals from there on the same used shit.

I assure you that we only sell new, unused products, Just because the
sticker manufacturing date said May 07 doesn't mean it was used! We
purchase all of our products by the truckload so we can get the best price
possible, this is how we keep our costs down! For example, we have had
over 1200 of that FloroLux system we upgraded you to for at least a year
now. As far as the damage to the system, that had to occur in transit, we
inspect everyone of those when we add the lamps to them, plus the "goody
bags" we put in.

The dirt on the other hand I'm not sure how that got in there, I will have
to look at it when we get it back.

So, obviously, we will replace that system for you! However, I cannot find
any order information with [fuck you HTG].
The hand written order number on you receipt/packing list would be
perfect, otherwise I usually can find the info I need from the shipping
name and address you provided. Let em know and I will be further able to
help you.

hello, i recently ordered a grow light from you guys, and have some issues that i would like to be resolved. im a member of popular plant growing forum with over 60,000 members and counting. i ordered from you guys, despite the fact that there were several people there who claimed that HTGSupply sold lights far cheaper then anyone else because "they sell used and refurbished ballasts and other parts". i rebuked those claims, thinking you guys had really hooked me up. however, when i hooked up my light, and started really checking it out, i noticed several things that were a little peculiar. for instance, there are many paint chips, scuffs, scratches and dirt smears all over the unit. especially in places where the panels can be removed and are out of sight. the ballast panel also has a stripped screw. the ballast itself has dirt on it that has obviously been accumulated over time, and there are some kinks on the unit, which obviously means it has had some abuse. the glass protector is chipped on many, if not all sides. And twice already, for no apparent reason, the unit has made loud clicking and humming noises and then, would suddenly shut down, and wouldnt power back up until i unplugged it and let it cool for a little while. grow lights should not do that. i checked the quality control sticker, and it is dated may of 07. that means this light is over a year old. when the light is running normally, it seems to me that it makes more noise then it should. i went to a local hydroponics store where they had several grow lights, and none of them buzzed half as much as the unit i received. im very disappointed that i received a used light, that has had some abuse and heavy usage. how am i supposed to be confident in my grow light and its performance? how am i to know for sure if this is a light that is working to its full potential? this is also a problem because my garden has already sprouted, and im sure the plants will die once i have to ship this used light back, and it will be quite upsetting when my garden that i have worked so hard on has to die because of an issue like this...i have not yet told those on the forum about my findings, as i wanted to email you guys first so you can have an opportunity to give your side of the story and offer a solution to the problem. one thing that surly is not disputed about your company is your exceptional customer service, i hope to see that this is the case with me and my problem as well. i have faith that this can become a favorable situation for both parties, because if the outcome is to my liking, i will surly write about it in a very positive way on my forum, and will preach you guys as the best of the best, and you will have earned a life-long customer. thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

scammer? they didnt even send me a label to return the first light!! im not paying 100 dollars out of pocket to return these jacked up lights. you are mistaken, they are the scammers.

btw, the last post was the first email i sent them. the post before that was the reply.
