I am running 2 1000s one is hortilux super hps and the other is 1000 MH the question is would running a hortilux super blue hps conversion along with my other hps give a better spectrum/yield ? Or is running the MH and the hps gonna give me the same results during my flowering.hence the hortilux super blue has higher lumen output and better blue spectrum ? Thanks

Thats too much supplemental light IMO. Youd be better off with 2 1000 watt HPS lights and a 400 watt MH or similar.

I heard something similar from the grow shop guy. Like around a 1/3 of your wattage being MH. I tried it one grow, 2200-watts 1000 watt HPS 600 watt HPS, and a 600watt MH. I didn't see any spectacular results so I switched back to all HPS

99% of people will get more out of perfecting their grow then things like supplemental lighting. Metal Halide does help with density but for small to medium sized grows theres a half dozen other things that would help more and cost less.

i swap bulbs halfway thru flowering. not allways, but im going to again. either hortilux or ushio first half of flower. sunmaster for the rest. it best represents the "late fall" spectrum. i do know my largest yeild, was under a 600 sunmaster. i got 3.5 per plant. havnet come close sense. no joke. im running a horti 1000, and a 600 ushio right now. just a 8 tube t-5 sunblaze for veg. 6 blue, 2 orange. if you havent seen a sunmaster burning, you will see its way more orange. really orange light.

Hey guys ok first my grow is small scale I have about 8 blueberrysour d in veg and I have 3 monster sour d 7 foot + :) the (hree chemd are under both 1000s superhortiluxhps and philips MH there both top line bulbs I through in the mh bcz my chems are fuckin stretch machines last grow all hps so I tossed in the MH to slow the stretch, so running a full 200 watt hps throughout whole flowering would be better ? I only use top quality stuff my ladies are on sensi bloom a+ b bud ignitor for first 2 weeks voodoo juice, budcandy, I realy like AN and I have realy good relationship with my local shop keeper so I get good deals on the line of AN thanks for your replys

Because I have been told from my local hydrostore that the MH is used. By the plant in the last few weeks for sweetleaf production also it improves tric production a bit? But are these little advantages of the MH much less than running 2 superhortilux hps along side each other ? Under the my 3 monsters..... and I have pics up at 5 for my bluecitydiesel,chemd,l.s.d,and one jack h.

you will get more yield with the 2 hps. dont allways listen to the hydro store sometimes they are the worst at missleading you

YOUR answer to your question , the color temp is what makes the plants think its time to flower along with the time, so your useing 2700 or so kelvin and wantto add a 6k or higher prob 6.5 right , i thinnk huge mistake , youll drag flowering on for ever
