Hey I was wondering if you ever re use it soil to start seedlings in or anything I did with a batch of autos I ordered and there a little droopy the last auto I did I stuck it in a cup of. Re used soil and it seemed like it was always drooping like root rought so I was thinking maney the dead roots in the re used soil could have started the problem but they always get transplanted into big pots with fresh soil
Double take.....whatd you say??

Usually root rot happens from watering to many times and they get soggy bottoms. I dont reuse my soil..well i do, i just put it into my outside garden.

Is there holes in the platforms too?

I hate vacuming but i think i wouldnt mind vacuming for those girls.

how often do these passive hydro monsters need to be watered in a day? God theyre nice lookin.
They are in 25 gal smart pot similar pots. End of Veg they were watered every day with about 2 1/2 gallons of mix, Early flower 4 gallons of mix every other day. End of flower sometimes once a day.

Sorry to ask the same question twice but as far as the stretching is concerned. I would guess that even side illumination would cause stretch to some degree, not vertical but horizontal. Is it the same stretch that you would see vertically in a horizontal direction or is it lessened by more side branches so less total side stretch?
Yes you will less vertical stretch the more in-between you hang your lights, but they will still stretch a great deal. But the node spacing is very tight for more compact natural looking buds. Like that of outdoor grown.

What are your thoughts on a light mover in this situation..I.e..a stationary bulb and two on a mover going across the the length of the garden..my last grow had a light rail 5 w/ all 4 600s moving abou 16ft..yeild was awesome..thinking about using a hybrid of a 1000 watt naked bulb hanging in center of room with a light rail pulling two 600 watters back and forth, just can't seen to figure out how unless I have a loonnnnggg cord for the center bulb (will be snagged by mover arms)I think this would be a very benefical setup using a longer veg period..any input or criticisim is welcom
I like light movers but could you draw your setup or post a pic idc if you guys post some pics on my thread if it's at least on topic of some sort. Updates will be tonight maybe tmrw just have been real busy lately. Also I hate snapping pics of my Sour Kush later into flower...lol they seem to autumn early and drop leaves, over two years ago when I started growing Headband SK this plant during the last 3 weeks of flowering would drop water leaves like crazy. I at first thought that it was just an extremely finicky plant. It is a little tougher to grow then a lot of other strains but definitely not an Advanced skill plant. I even tried Switching to a completely organic diet for the plant. My friend does Veg-ganics (Kyle Kushman Style) and this plant dropped leaves the same week as mine did. So either this deficiency is genetic and it carries from clone to clone/ Mother to clone or it's just not a problem at all and the plant just does it on it's own. Buds always look fantastic and never are affected by this, I thought it might be a cal-mag thing....but tried everything to keep them greener during late flower. over 2 years later..... still trying. My skill with this plant has def. continued to improve since seed. two years ago. Each flowering I seem to tweak something to get better final weight and flavor... and an overall improvement no matter how minor it is. Any comments or criticism would be great... or experiences with same issues.

Do not care on genetics! Just want massive yields!
Jack Herer, Critical mass (Mr.nice) or Critical + (dinafem), big bud. Never grown them but I did the research in looking for the biggest yeilders and that's what I've come up with. Starting a vertical grow with Critical mass right now. Pm me if you curious or look for Heath Robinsons vertical tree grow journal using critical mass. Epic.

I heard Jack Herer wasnt very heavy, kinda over rated, the plant not the man.

All I can say is thank you for showing me this!! I am simply embarrassed with my yields... and I am running CM next run and taking full advantage of my 8ft ceilings. I hate Sour Kush for this setup. fuck I should be able to tune my lights down to 750watt using Critical Mass and still hit what I'm hitting now with Sk. I've grown CM x with unknown before and got awesome yields but I also grew them taller. Thank you for ruining my day.... lol That guy is the man!!

Ha,no prob, he's pretty much the best vert grower I've ever seen. If your embarrassed with your yields then most of us should just get out of the game now. ha. Your doing it all right just need the genetics for sure. I found a great thread talking about the differences between Critcal mass from Mr. Nice and Critical + from Dinafem. I guess Dinafem just reworked Critical mass from Mr. Nice and made it a little better, they even tried to compensate Mr. Nice but he refused and was very impressed how they improved it ever so slightly so I'd go with Dinafem if your buying seeds.

If wondered about growing critical mass for a while has anyone noticed that the potency wasn't all there? That would be my only concern with a high yielder like that
