need other ppls help on harvest time

i have some kush plants an im not sure if its quite harvest time yet. they look nice an dense but i pulled a bud off to sample an wasnt as dense as i would like them to be. couple days ago they were 60% red hairs when i pulled the sample bud now it looks as if thier is more white hairs?? are the growing still? they are satives plants so i no i have a large window to harvest but wanna make sure i pick at the right time. i dont have a 30 times magenfiying class just a 5 times.

that isnt done if the bud is that straggly, your plant on the other hand looks great! how many weeks into flower? looks around 5ish.. your prob looking around 9weeks for a proper flower IMO, depending on your setup..

I'm not quite sure I never kept track. It was put in my 12 room back sometime in November so it's been a min lol

I agree I think you have at least a couple of more weeks, hard to say for sure.

The hairs really don't tell you much and for most strains you'll want all red hairs before you harvest. Buds will look noticeably frostier and really plump up near the end. It will start smelling more than normal.

There are several ways you can judge ripeness by look, but it's not exact and you need to be familiar with the strain.

Thanks everyone. The day I took that pic from the time I posted it was about a week of difference. Iv been holding off an she's really starting to fill out ���� it's a northern lights an afghan kush cross breed. An She's starting to turn a little more purple. Looking amazing.

I disagree, hairs do tell you quite abit.

For instance, I dont even bother pulling out the scope until I have 80% red hairs and most are receding.

On a full sativa, I look for receding hairs (they might still be white) before pulling out the scope.
