Haha... I'm attempting to reveal as little environment as possible while still showing you the pics, but you insist on pointing out what you can identify. ;) :tinfoilhat: I've accepted you know the wallpaper, LOL. hahaha.

Anyway yeah, they're looking good now, frosting up nicely. Big difference since the last viewing. Glad to see such development now.

I honestly don't mind trimming... I might try a cold water extraction for once, I have never done it that way. I've been dry sifting and occasionally doing ISO extractions, but I feel like I'd like to do butane or cold water extraction next time. I sort of want to learn to rip my own oil so that I can load my own portable oil-only vaporizers and enjoy dabs on a concentrate rig...
can you not get everclear in your state because it is best for oil extraction that i have found and safe unless use near open flames ... always use electic stove or heating element to heat teh water in teh boil pan to 170 f to boil out the 198proof everclear and it leaves a nice oil do it out side it stinks bad if you ask me
hate the smell of boiled grain alcohol

shit thats not as bad as some of teh phots i have seen with people holding buds with thier faces in view or the ones who take photos of the plants next to a fedex package that u can see teh address and names on

i personally will not post any photos on any forums because the data is all run thru the utah HDS center that records every data bit used on teh interwebs and tehy ahve a list they can see who is what ip address at teh tim eit was posted

yes i know its a stretch but better safe then sorry
You're probably right, but oh well. I'm a statistic to them, and a pretty uninteresting one at that. Works for me, for now. I don't plan to go large scale... might even go get a dr's rec. soon, as I'm running low on bud and wish I could shop at the dispensary or get a caretaker's help, lol.

Also, the jackberry being ahead of the others makes sense, but the herijuana being behind doesn't.

Jackberry 7-8 Weeks
Kolossus 9-10 Weeks
Anesthesia 8-10 Weeks
Herijuana 7-9 Weeks
i bet its because she was shorter and away from teh lights more tehn the others

Her nodal spacing is twice as far apart as the other plants, and she's taking a much worse hit from the stress of the ph/nute issues... overall I'd say that plant is in rough shape, but I should get SOMETHING from her at least, get an idea of what it's like. Hopefully hte clone will survive too.

good info on it here: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=186222

I'll probably go ahead and stick as much bud as I can in. If it doesn't work for some reason I can always put it in jars when it thaws.
been thinking about getting a food dehydrator and trying that they have temps as low as 80f and have been reading lots of good reviews of people who ahve tried this way then to jars
any one of you guys tried it?

the freezer is a good idea but the kids make that a bad idea i guess i place in a box in teh freezer or wrap in freezer papper and label as liver to keep all eyes off it

I'm indifferent bout stank, just don't want to be burping jars every day. If I get my hands on some of those little tiny hygrometer pucks I'll do jar curing but I don't trust my "instincts" to feel it out yet. I'll try the freezer and see how that goes, then decide whether or not to order some pucks...
has anyone tried teh humidy rocks for drying? my mother used them to soak up the water from the ac over flow and they work great just ahve to bake them when they stop absorbing. i guess hte trick is to make sure you have lots of extra so you have teh time to do it right

but really any info on any of these ideas

"This liver smells like high quality cannabis..."

lol.

I think the dehydrator is a decent idea if you can keep it down at 80. But air drying is probably better, if possible.

it kinda is; its drying they vent 80-180 f air from the bottom to the top and out so it would be like a faster air cure getting one for this year for teh beans and other crops (food im a real life farmer) for home use i also have tomatoes and lettuce mixed with my other crops i have growing in the green room

too bad tehy cant cross polinate and get some white widow lettuce or skunk tomatoes

Good luck with those Saniie's beans. I just finished some Shack, good genes! I run a 600 and 4 T5's in a garage but am looking to save some cash with LED's as well! Ciao and keep the babies warm and happy...

Naw, they don't sell everclear here from what I gather. Can't get dry ice very nearby either! haha. Damn boondocks. Anyway. I'm interested in trying a butane extraction this year; or I'm gonna buy some bubble bags and do my first bubble hash run.

Gettin' the itch again, lol. I'm just bored and running out so I'm thinking ahead even farther... and then I thought, why think ahead? LOL. So I think I'm going to build a "middle shelf table" for my grow tent and subdivide it into two scrogs stacked on top of each other. Then change the 16-bulb setup to 8-bulb overhead only, and do a third scrog there.

So it would be a 4x3 scrog with the 8 bulbs and two 4x2 scrogs with 4-bulbs each.

I'm curious as to whether the larger footprint resulting would work to give me a bigger, better harvest... I can use the same netting for this idea too, and the fiberglass rods for support, so it's not a wasted investment in that sense at least.

Dome scrogs end up having something like 4x1, 4x2, and 4x1 footprints directly exposed to lighting... and the 1 isn't really 1, it's a 12" curve, so both the sides and the top lose a portion of their foot print there.

Is it just me, or is it a no brainer to think that if I can maximize the footprint under these lights in this way I'd get better yields than the planned dome would have? I know everyone was itching to see that unusual scrog in action, but I'd rather yield well than innovate right now. :P

So here's the thinking... the question is, what is best for each 4-bulb 48" section? 4x1 (4 sq ft) or 4x2? The fixtures read about 13" each, so obviously the bulbs are 1 foot... and in that sense, to get as close to the fixture as possible, it would be better to work with a 1 foot dimension... but since it's all curves, the buds end up a little farther from the light anyway... so even though the scrog would be 4x2 in the tent, I feel like it would still be a better-yielding option. I could make a point to pull it in to 4x1.5 even. Better air flow that way anyway. That might be a good compromise. Still maximizes direct lighting with even, flat canopy... but doesn't require such a wide angle that it's diminishing much for the buds directly under.

If I ignore the curve and think of it in terms of flat design, I figure each screen can support roughly 4x2 as is... so I'd be going from 16 sq. ft of surface area to... 4x3 =12, + 4x1.5=6, + 4x1.5=6 ... so that's 24 sq. ft. And I could go up to 4x2 so that would be 28.

...

Obviously 16 sq ft would fit perfectly under 16 bulbs with the lights RIGHT on the plants, but I've seen people grow really big buds at much wider angles, so I'm not convinced I need to be right up on the plants anyway... so maybe I could get more out of 24-28 sq. ft of scrog screen with the same lights.

--

We'll see how innovative I get in the next few weeks. I might not find the gumption to build the divider table for the tent, heh.

Then again, I guess I could use the table and the tent to dry my buds and get started on the scrog table in the closet while that's doing, heh.

Hm. It would certainly be easier to train and access everything if I spread things out. This will take some consideration...

Fuck it, I'm gonna stay with the dome scrog for now. I'll let mothers and clones kinda stockpile as best I can in the mean time... then maybego heavy sog down the length of the whole closet... I will have to leave a little walking space to get to the back ones, but I think it can be done, overall. 8x3=24 sq. ft. of sog... I believe that'll be my next mission. But really, I shouldn't plan that far ahead, I WANT to move in the spring. :P So the rasp. coughs would be the last run before the move, if it works out right.

Looking at some small farms locally, might end up staying here, we'll see how things go. If we can buy ANYTHING at this point I'm pretty happy... real tired of the renting game, especially now that I'm into such an environment-modifying hobby, lol.

Bubble hash is fucking awesome! Use matt rize's ice bubble hash!

If you tent is big enough split it in 2 and do dual lights. You only need 4000+ lumens/sq to have very vigorous growth. Anything over 7500 is straight overkill.

I know how that renting shit goes lol. Move out my way I'll rent you some land :D Only difference is I own the land and don't give a shit what people do :D Well as long as I know them.

yeah man wish i wasn't renting either... but oh well what can you do? im in the same situation running some of the last flowering cycles getting ready to move myself in about 3-4 months.

The tent is really big vertically. It feels like a huge waste of overhead space with T5's in there, which is one of the reasons I bailed on using it eventually. I think I'll probably just sit on it and do the dome scrogs as planned... it's an easy way to get started after relocating, and I hope to put it to good use as a two-tier veg. chamber later on when i can dedicate a full room to a new flowering arrangement.

I'm not sure how realistic it is to try to fill out those domes properly to actually get the sides filled in... with 6-8 plants it seemed like an easy challenge but with 4 it feels a little daunting. I will do a lot of fimming while they're in the pre-veg. and maybe even do some LSTing to start making sure all lower shoots are guided towards the same side. Or, maybe just hang the light at an angle over the plants so that all the shoots lean to one side anyway. (Keeping in mind that the "inner side" of each rolly's screen won't get light and will be sort of "under the canopy")
