All Their Little Tips Are Brown!!!

I have four 11 day old seedlings planted in Miracle Grow Organic and now the jagged tips on all their leaves are changing colour! Is this nutrient burn, is there a high probability that they will live through it or are they going to die!? ;( Does anyone have any advice on what I could do to save these guys!? The thermometer sometimes gets up to 80 and the CFL lights are now 1.5" above the plants. Will they live?

It does sond like nute burn, there are a lot of people who say mg soil is not the best and tends to burn you babies.

Have you fed them any nutes? 11 day old seedling in MG won't need any nutes for a little while, I think MG soil runs a little hot so that could be the problem, but assuming proper care and conditions in the rest of the grow they should be fine even with a little nute burn.

Wheww I hope so, I have fed them no nutrients yet. Would it be better to buy new soil and transplant them ASAP?? I just really want them to grow up nice and healthy!

I know the MG guys would argue, but id get them into a more seedling friendly soil. No rush cause I'm sure it will be fine since you aren't feeding yet, but even still I wouldn't keep them in it if I didn't have to.

Maybe see how they do for the next week, and then make the call.

When I find the right soil I will transplant them :)! Does nute burn affect the growth of the plant and the overall health of it much?

I agree with the nute burn aspect. The biggest mistake people make with MG soil is over watering. Most of the nutrients in MG are time release and water soluble. The more water you give them the more nutrients are released. I'd agree that they should probably be transplanted as soon as you can.

Mistakes in veg may set back your time line, but as long as the plant issues are resolved and proper care is demonstrated there after it will provide all the same come flower time. We aren't talking about a near death experiance, just a hiccup bro. Good luck!
