Hey all, im growing a cheesequake x kandy kush, started lsting a few days back, and wanting to switch to flowering, however, think preflowers have shown, and from what ive researched, certainly looks like a male :(
judging by the pics, can anyone tell? if it is, il stop the grow, and start again, if it isnt, then il wait....

...it looks like it's shaping up to be a male judging from those pics but it's still too soon to say definitively so i'd suggest you wait another week before you make your final decision.

Definitely a clear male preflower in pic 2.

The little stalk part of the preflower is the giveaway. Sometimes the stalk isn't so long so it's more difficult to tell.

Still to early to tell. Don't go overboard and chop it down before you know for sure. Just wait and see if a hair starts coming out of it. Either it will open up and a hair will come out or it will grow more balls. Like bozo said, wait at least another week and see what happens. Even if it is a male you don't have to worry about it pollinating till it opens. But if it is in fact male, I would grow it out a bit more and save the pollen sacs. That's me though.

I don't agree with this. The 2nd pic to me looks like an undeveloped pistil. Wait till you know for sure, it's not going to hurt any of your other plants if it is. It hasn't has a chance to mature.

Let me get into ms paint to show you the clues in pic 2

You don't have to show me clues. I've grown enough to know what an undeveloped preflower looks like. It's to early to tell.
lol, it's not too early but if that's what you want to think, go ahead. Female preflowers don't grow stalks like that.

Pistils would normally have already shown by now, but that is not part of my argument as i know that sometimes they don't for some time.

Do you see at the top of the preflower in pic 2 where it looks like two petals are sticking out like a closed crab claw?
that also doesn't happen with female preflowers.

Where the preflower overlaps the stipule, you can just see the stipule through the claw.

...is there anything similar on this forum?

i'm just trying to help share information to my fellow growers, what difference does it make which library it comes from?

peace, bozo
Not sure if there is something "exactly" like that. But there are plenty of things on saving your pollen sacs and such. Hell, you don't even really need to isolated it as long as you keep an eye on the sacs. If you grab them before they open they can't pollenate the other plants. Like I said, if it was me I would keep it and just pic off the mature sacs before they open and save them and brush one limb of my plant so I can have more seeds instead of having to order more.

Its the only one im growing so I dont have to worry about Cross pollenation, just don't want to grow it if it is male

Haven't changed light cycle at all yet
How old is your plant? Only thing I can think of since you haven't changed your cycle is that you stressed it and it showed some sort of sex, or it was stressed to much from training and it turned hermi. Did you order female seeds? Given to you? Is it auto?
