I'm growing some skunk autoflower female;-), plant is small but 65 days old...I have not noticed sex traits yet....Maybe she's not old enough?

Hey WhoCare100, hows it going buddy...

Never grew these but I thought autoflowering strains switch to flowering "automatically" without you needing to do anything?

Who's the seed manufacturer. On the package/website do they give any guidelines?

Cheers

i also have never grown an auto before but 65 days sounds close to old enough. ...if it's a true auto it should start flowering according to it's own genetic clock no matter what you do so when it's ready it should just go into flower and stay there until it finish's, even if you leave the light on 24/7.

...btw, alternating nodes is a sign of sexual maturity so once a plant starts growing asymetricaly, it's ready to rock.

damn 65 days huh...ive only grown one auto but from what i know sounds like your going to have to go 12/12...they usually start flowering around three weeks after germing give or take with no light schedule change....if you dont see any preflowers after 65 days though something isnt right...pics?? hate to say it but sounds like the plant isn't doing great since its still small AND nothing is happening

What kind of light schedule are they receiving? By 65 days I can usually tell the sex of my non autoflowering strains.

I just put my 2 oldest plants in a seperate room, I'm going to check for that branch formation, Thanks Bozo...The plants have been on 24/7 the whole time till I moved them, I added more lights but in the 2700 range for flowering...I am now using 20/4 light schedule, hoping to figure out what she's doing...

Ok checked the plants this morning, they branches are all still asymetrical, but I did notice maybe a Pistole?? on a few branches, so I think she is almost ready...I think the additional light has helped a lot...can I put her flower this weekend, and check on her sex in a few days?

sure you can but it'll take longer than a couple of days for them to show sex, ...with young plants like that it can take as long as 2 to 3 weeks before you'll know for sure. (it's unlikely to take 3 weeks for you to know but sometimes it CAN take that long, lol)

Hey, that is awesome....

Does anyone know for autoflowering strains if they show pre-flowers, pistols at the stem and branch? If so is that a good indicator that flowering will start soon?\

So should I wait a few more days in veg to tell for sure??? I'm really in no hurry, but she has really greened up with the extra light and the grow ferts I'm giving it.

haha, the plant is glowing from radation from the chemical nutes.

after a couple water only feeds, it should return to normal.

remember let the soil go through periods of being wet and dry.

as a seedling, the soil should always stay moist, instead of letting it dry out, and it should never be wet

let see some photos! you can flower whenever you want. the plant will grow 1/3 to 1/2 its size during the flowering stretch

ok compare last week from this week, sorry old camera sucks.100_1893.jpg100_1906.jpg100_1909.jpg100_1915.jpg I did pinch off some of the leaves, but the top has filled out nicely. This is Beauty

This is Stubborn, refused to grow and is doing better now 100_1900.jpg100_1914.jpg, also resolved my ventilation noise issue, I put sick on weatherstripping on the base of the fan, noise ended...

ah..stay away from salts. they need them there, but in trace amounts, unless you are at 0, which is unlikely from potting soil

i find shale looking rocks in my soil that get washed into the plant at right amount. good potting soil is great and easy to start with

i used mud under my deck first time. it worked, but not ideal lol

if you add compost, like a lot of us do you must cut with perlite

The Epson was misted on a few times, it was yellowing a bit and I flushed her, The soil was organic choice from Orschlins...said no additives, Mixed some with Pearlite in a few plants They died, and I started this one in just the organic when I transplanted her, so she had very little nutes, or light..

you need good light, and that organic soil is probably great. it probably has a bunch of composted material in it

Don't tell him that radiation bullshit.
.
OP, your plant will most likely double if not a bit more when you switch to flower.

Next time you repot, try and get the plant closer to the top, so you have more room for roots, and also don't block light from the lower leaves.
Also, you would probably benefit from lights around the sides too, not just above.
