earwax: crystallized BHO
ice wax: my version of ice water hash
bubble hash: popular name for ice water hash
hash: screen extract
BHO: butane hash oil
iso: isopropyl hash oil

100% is pharma grade. A raw extract can never be 100% cannabinoids with the other terpenes, and plant waxes and lipids still in place.

Even after removing the waxes and lipids, it would require further refinement to be above 90%.

Alas, I agree, nothing as tasty as good bud!

I say alas, because smoking cannabis gives me COPD and vaporizing oil doesn't. I keep smoking bud occasionally, even knowing that, because it is so damn tasty and my will is weak at times.
 
if youre smoking weed for the taste then youre doing the oil wrong, lol!!!

but seriously... my oil tastes like 10x stronger than the joint tastes, or the bud smells. its so potent. everything is 10x. I love it. soooo tasty. after a hoot it feels like your throat and mouth is coated in this very tasty, delicious golden oil that tastes/smells like some stinky OG kush... mmmmmm

you cant "get" copd and then not have it later lol hence the c..for chronic, meaning until you die..chronic obsessive pulminary disease! maybe you have copd and you meant that it triggers it?? just being a grammar nazi cant help it not trying to be a dick lol

Not sure what your point is brother grammar nazi. I didn't say it came and went, I said that smoking cannabis gave me chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which is present 24/7.

I dunno, but like I said... if youre smoking a joint over your oil for the "taste" then youre doing something wrong...

smoking a joint is like eating a day old big mac whereas smoking oil is like eating a fresh steak. oil always. the ONLY time I smoke bud now is to make ash in the bowl for oil (cant wait for a proper set up).. and even then, I dont even inhale. I just suck till the smoke hits my lips, then I take the bowl off and blow the smoke outta the other end. wastes .5g of weed that had all its kief raped off it,but whatever. the taste out of my bong when smoking thick weed hoots is gross, and that coming from someone who has VERY tasty, piney, very very stinky OG/bubba kush (or so the grower said) . makes your lips brown with resin.. wipe them on kleenex and you would be surprised at how dirty they get. im sure you knew that though. plus the taste in my mouth bothers me afterwards. a joint isnt so bad, but weed outta the bong sucks when you got an oz of honey oil and half oz of bubble hash sitting right there!

Well see, your point become smoot when you say smoking a joint over oil for the taste, because those are your words, not mine. I just said I like the taste.

Point of fact, I like most ofthe ways to consume cannabis, the taste of a well grown and cured bud, being one of them. I have been doing so since the early 60's and delight in the different flavors and effect.

I also delight in concentrates,which has been the central focus of my research since I retired in 2005, and the results are a matter of public record.

PS: The real question as I see it, is why it is important to you to turn my saying that I like the taste of bud, to meaning I don't make good oil, when you don't know me, nor have you ever tried my oil. On the surface, it appears to add nothing to the thread, except maybe add credence to the adage that when a pickpocket meets a saint, he sees only their pockets.

Any thoughts that I'm missing, that justify your actions brother Vac?
 
nah youre taking it a little too seriously and to the heart. I was just making a sarcastic remark, a joke. like when I said "IF youre smoking weed because you like the taste over the oil you have laying around..." when I say "youre" I wasnt referring to you. I was referring to anyone in general.. if theyre weed tastes better than their oil. theyre doing it wrong. I just assumed that if you like the taste of the weed, you would LOVE the taste of the oil that it would make, as im sure you very well know. that is all. just making a smartass remark/half assed joke. I guess you didnt get it and found it offensive instead. I am sorry for that. we all know youre the king of oil/hash and have done more studying, and have more bad ass oil making toys and tricks than pretty much anyone here probably. I know you dont make shitty oil, we all know you make good oil fadedawg...

lol...idk just as it was written i misconstrued it and took it as you thought u were "getting" copd FROM smoking buds but you dont "get" copd from the oil...i thought you thought that it goes away after a while..i was drinking i have to not do that before i come on here :wall:

you claim to not like the taste of buds. have you ever heard that some people have ..3 times i think it is.. more taste buds in their mouth and therefore taste things differently than the average person...they call them super tasters and one way to tell is if you cant eat foods as spicy as most others can
 
Mmmmmm, not sure why "Wax" became a popular term for water extracted resin glands, or is something different?

It was called full dome clear melt (or something) / bubble hash a decade ago. Now there is wax, shatter etc etc all of which i don't feel i got a clear definition of.

I am gonna try makin some bubble hash with my first harvests trim..... Kind of a neat idea but you could just use two bags to make bulk hash.... go from the work bag directly to 25 micron....

let drain and dry.

trim right off the plant, just frozen? no drying?

since i am going to have a small harvest, would i get better yield drying my trim just less quality?
