All no0bs should grow G13 Pineapple Express for their first grow

I see tons of threads asking what you should grow for your first strain. Grow Pineapple Express. It will take newb mistakes pretty well without fucking up on you. Light leaks, underwatering etc. it is a stable strain that produces well stinks to high hell and is very forgiving.
 
Why would people want to grow a stinky plant for a first time :D Northern lights is where most start. If you want some good g13 have a few good runs before you start. I love g13 so tasty and dense.
 
G13 is the breeder. The reason for the recommendation is it takes a beating which is pretty common for newbie to do

Im gonna have to disagree. My first grow was G13 labs PE and they were more difficult than i needed being a noob, and almost discouraged me from growing again. Since then i haven't had any problems with plants other than tangerine dream. which still was easier for me to grow than the PE. I have one PE seed and im going to try another grow with it now that im more experienced. Being a noob though and my first grow the plant had a lot of deficiencies and when i fed it more it burnt easy. Not to mention it hermied. The easiest strain for me to grow was DNA genetics "chocolope", and second easiest was paradise seeds "wappa". Both were killer buds and were as easy as you explained above about the PE.
 
Wow! I gave the pe to my buddy and it was his first grow. He under watered it turned the lights on in the middle of the dark period. Only def he got was mag and was fixed with Epsom salt. No hermies and yielded a lil under a q/p with t5s and cfls.
 
It takes a lot to fuck up a G13 Labs PE grow. It's a really versatile strain that can take a lot of abuse.
 
Well maybe the strain has matured since or it was just a bad seed to begin with. It was my first grow for sure i didnt know all that much, and have nobody to help and wasnt a part of this forum at that time. Sounds like you were there to help him and you are an experienced grower. It was still good smoke and I yielded a QP. I am not taking anything away from the strain but it was my first grow and i had trouble. I just think there are easier out there and posted my experience. I cant exactly say why i think it isnt a good grow for noobs unless i give a reason. Either way i cant wait to try again with it and get better results.
 
Yeah for sure, i found answers to a lot of my issues on this forum. That is why i joined. Best thing i have learned is to correct your last mistake and dont make it again. I agree though it took a lot of weeding out BS in order to get good advice.

lol now I will have to disagree with you, I have a very similar story, except my tangerine dream didnt even sprout!! The G 13 labs is still in my line up because of exactly what the OP said. I have a few other strains in there as well from rare dankness and flying dutchmen that was gifted to me....but the P.E. Flowers faster than the others, i CANNOT burn this plant, pineapple punch from Flying Dutchman does not like as much nutes as this grapefruit cross, but the F.D. P.P packs on trichs at a rate that the G 13 LABS P.E. cant keep up with at the start. As for the comment about light leaks....I can only hope thats true considering i just came down stairs and half my plastic was lose around my basement window!!!! :( Got me stressin bad....on track to put up my biggest harvest yet....I really hope that 30-1hr of exposure 4weeks in is not enough to cause me any harm....but to be honest i have been wondering about that window...hasnt giving me any problems until now....Has anyone caught a natural early morning natural light leak before?? I dont deal with them often so im not sure if im over thinking this or if i am fine.....the old cross your fingers is probably going to be my biggest answer i would assume but just wanted to know if anyone else could share their unfortunate story of similar light leak story. Thanks
