Was it cancer that made her take up two spots, leaving zero for the next person who REALLY needs it?
my ex that passed and i were at Meijer grocery store... the stupid idiot working wouldnt even look at her food stamp card. we had to walk away from about $200
worth of groceries. The woman working had tried to get kinda fresh with me before, and she saw a girl with me so she assumed she was gonna treat her bad is my geuss.
my ex passed shortly after that...
i have to goto that store basically, so i still see the woman up there all the time.
I just want to go up to her and be like, ya know your a freakin waste of life... but i never do.
so the other day im in there... and she got into it with a really ghetto hood mama. the woman working had to run away from the customer cuz she was gonna beat her ass.
karma??

Good thread.I love helping random people whenever possible, I dont have much but do what I can.I remember a few years back I would always see a homeless fellow digging around a dumpster in behind the store I frequent, one day I had a feeling like I should help him so I gathered the 60 or so dollars in change I had collecting in my center console and handed it to him in an empty coffee mug.Man that guy was thankful, whether it was spent on drugs, food, clothes I dont really care, it made me feel great and I know it made his day.

I have done quite a bit of things like this but have not for a while as I have lost a good bit of fath in humanity in the last year...I had a very good friend fall on some hard times and when he asked for a place to stay I did not hesitate emptying a spare room and moving him in.Four months later him and half my shit is gone while I was out of town, turns out he had quite the drug problem and it destroyed who he once was.I wish he would have asked me to help him get clean instead of doing what he did.

The next and final thing that ruined my views on people, was quite recently I was looking to sell a little 10 foot jon boat and use that toward a 12 footer.I had a younger guy and his girlfriend come by to check it out.He said it was perfect for the small lakes he fishes but would like to see it on the water to makesure everything was OK and if it was stable enough.I stated that I was going out of town in a day and do not have the time right now so we would have to go to a local lake once I return. He stated that they are moving in one week so would have to back out from the purchase if we could not figure something out.I feel foolish for admitting this but I agreed to let them take the boat and try it out at the local lake.I am pretty easy going and said to just return it along side the house the next day as I would not be home....Im sure you can guess that I got home and the boat was not there, his phone is also not in service.I did not call the police as that is not my style, I prefer to stay off that radar.Karma will get em.

d anyone to call me a moron, I am fully aware I pretty much asked for this but in my defense they really did seem like nice people. It really is a shame things like this have to happen to people trying to do good!
Yah but how to know the outcome without extending the trust? i thank goodness for folks like you.

Moron. ~giggle~ ;) cn

karma??
when i was fairly young, like 26, i got to see karma in action up close like that. i had a boss that hated me from the first day she stepped in the office. her boss (whom i was pretty close to) called me one day and said she was on her way to the facility and could i help? she brought HR with her and fired my boss on the spot and asked me if i would help my now ex-boss carry her shit out to her car...every once in a while we are lucky enough to see it for ourselves :eyesmoke:

karma??

That and what Sunny are talking about are not karma. That is simply some asshole being an asshole to the wrong person and getting what they deserve. Karma is when someone is an asshole and they get stomach cancer. I know too many assholes who don;t ever get what they deserve, so I do not believe in Karma. IF it were real, trust me, these two would have biblical problems; wart, lesions, cancer, etc.

What is it about Biblical retribution that is always so very disproportionate to the offense? Imo karma should be in balance. cn

Karma is action, virtuous, non-virtuous, or idle. Your karma propels you into your next life. In Christianity there is no Karma, you can be a bad person then ask for forgiveness, be born again and all is forgiven. I like Karma better, it's accountability.

You do not know these two people. Truly sick, hateful, people who abuse others (including children) for their own gratification. Stomach cancer is too kind.

Ok one of my good deed stories. It's about 11pm in the city near me and I'm driving down to the bar. Driving past the bus stop I notice two men fighting, one athletic looking, the other a thinnish kid. I slow down to watch and it happens quick, athletic guy slips a few punches and lays the skinny kid out. Bigger guy starts putting the boots to the kid, then starts dragging him towards the curb. "oh fuck no I can't let this go down". I pull the car over quick and jump out. I start loudly saying "he's had enough, you don't want to do that, you proved your point." Big dude starts to approach me, and about 4 other people at the bus stop start to echo my sentiment. Skinny kid is up on his feet swaying like a drunk and thinks he wants more. I immediatly tell him he's gotta go, his ass was just kicked and his life possibly saved. I fluff the big guys ego telling him he throws a hard punch. I really believe the skinny kid was going to get curbed, maybe he deserved the ass kicking, I don't know. I do know I couldn't watch someone possibly take a life. My girlfriend at the time made me turn around and go home for sex after that.

Good for you and good for your girlfriend. So many people wont get involved...it takes guts to be the guy who sticks his neck out. I broke up a fight between a bunch of nine year old boys one time, lol I was around 23 and I threatened to kick all their asses if they didn't run,lol...

oh i don't know, i'm a christian and i expect to be held accountable for every deed and thought i have. that's why it's called judgement day. i will have to answer for everything. i strive to be a better human every day so that when they show the big slide show that is my life my maker will see more good then harm. christianity is accountability and forgiveness imo :eyesmoke:

wether religous or not... there seems to be a common theme among people who do right typically.

I heard a quote the other day..."Those that do well, must do good." If we all only thought that way the world would be a better place. I believe the gift truly is in the giving. I hope as a parent I can instill this idea in my children, I think it will make them happier people. I try to teach them about selfworth and how it's the most important thing they can own. I tell them things like, if you steal something, you are only taking from your selfworth and that makes you poor, no matter how much you took.
